Tough

That is the word I would use to describe this past week at our house. Teething has taken over and is draining the energy from everyone in our house. My poor, sweet, baby tries SO hard to stay happy but I know she is in pain. We are doing everything possible to make her comfortable, Tylenol, Hyland's teething tablets, Sophie, frozen fruit, ice, orajel, snuggling, and keeping her distracted. She has been pretty great during the day with the exception of naps. Those are non-existent right now. Yesterday she took three "rests", I'm not even calling them naps. She went to bed early at 6:30pm then woke at 10pm and was awake until 1am, slept until 4am then got up again but was quickly put back down and slept until 8am. I fed her and then my WONDERFUL husband took her downstairs so I could get some rest. I am so thankful for him. She napped with me (bad habit, I KNOW!) from 9:30am-11am and then when she woke I got ready and then got her ready and we ran some errands. Target was calling our name.

I am not writing this to whine or complain. I just want to document this for our family so days, weeks, or months down the road we can reminisce about the time leading up to our baby breaking her first tooth. I hope is breaks through soon! I can see the left bottom tooth right below her gums.

Here is a little peek into our lives these past few days...

She is happy as a clam in the mornings. I would have to say she takes after her Mama and is a major morning person!

Sweet baby. Mommy is quite the entertainer, I can pretty much get her to smile for the camera any time now.

"Mom my gums feel funny"

"Okay, now they just hurt!"

This face! She is such a drama queen! Can you say puppy dog eyes?!

We are all SO OVER teething!

Teething is terrible! The second tooth isn't as bad! We had tooth #1 and a growth spurt at the same time. I didn't sleep for 3 days.

Bless her little heart! There really isn't much you can do about teething except to wait it out. Hoping she feels better soon, for her sake and yours!!

Ugh...it does stink but lots of babies do get better as they cut more teeth. My SIL never hardly noticed when her kids cut teeth. Totally not fair! Georgia is a pretty bad teether. It doesn't bother her sleep anymore but we do have to keep her pretty busy during the day, give her lots of Motrin and oragel and take her outside a lot! Being outside seems to make everything better for her...she literally does not know how to cry outside. It's our cure all for her! I wish we could have Emma Claire and Georgia meet (their names even sound like they should be besties!) Where does your family live in TX? We live in the Houston area which is pretty much far from everything but it would be fun to meet up sometime when you are in TX!

oh, and in that picture I feel like I can see 3 or 4 teeth...she may be cutting way more than one. Georgia did that and it was actually nice because you got a lot done all at once. She cut 2 and then 6 and now she's on molars.

Poor girl! G always was a great teether until those 1 year molars came in. Now we are starting on his 2 year molars...help!

I hope it breaks through soon! Savor that gummy grin while she has it:)
