31 Weeks

How Far Along: 31 Weeks

Size of Baby: Over 16 inches long and 3.3 pounds! That's equivalent to 4 naval oranges!

Total Weight Gain: 14 Pounds

Maternity Clothes: Yep!

Gender: Girl

Movement: Lots of it! She's been kicking or grabbing really low lately! Those little kicks and jabs aren't as cute as the others! ha!

What I Miss: The Hubster, but he comes home this week!

Cravings: Nothing really this week...I did REALLY want Chick-fil-A on Sunday, but isn't that how it always goes? ;-)

Symptoms: I've started having some braxton hicks contractions, heartburn, swelling feet for the first time...I think that may be from being on my feet for two days straight painting!

Best Moment of the Week: As of right now...getting the family room painted! By the end of the week it will be the Hubsters HOMECOMING! :-) I cannot wait for Friday!!!

What I'm looking Forward To: FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY! :-) The Hubster comes home AND I get the rest of my living room furniture!

Baby Bump

YAY! A normal picture! Against the freshly painted wall :-) I just love it!

30 Weeks

Here we go...the big 3-0!!!

I cannot believe there are only 10 weeks left now...WOW!

How Far Along: 30 Weeks

Size of Baby: Almost THREE pounds!!! And about 15.7 inches long. She's about the size of a head of cabbage!

Total Weight Gain: 14 pounds officially! Went to my new doctor this week and LOVED her!

Maternity Clothes: Yep!

Gender: Little girl

Movement: LOTS! Her movements have become much BIGGER! I can tell when she rolls over and sometimes I can feel her feet when she's stretching out! I've also felt her little bottom! My Mom and I were waiting for the doctor and I was feeling my belly and saying, "I think this is her bottom..." Then when the doctor was feeling my belly she said, "This right here is her little butt!" And it was right where I had showed my mom!!

What I Miss: Sleeping through the night! I've been getting up 3-4 times a night now!

Cravings: Yogurt (Which is also great for heartburn!), Chick-fil-A, and lucky charms! Totally random!

Symptoms: Heartburn...from all of the bending over :-(, pelvic pain and pressure, my trips to the bathroom have become more frequent!

Best Moment of the Week: Finding a new doctor up here! She was wonderful, I loved her! I was so anxious about finding a good doctor and hospital. I am completely relieved to have found my doctor. I can't wait for the hubster to meet her!

What I'm Looking Forward To: Getting the house all settled! Moving at 30 weeks pregnant is NO easy task! Luckily I have great helpers :-)

Baby Bump

So this is all you get this week...allll baby! Momma was yucky from unpacking or covered in paint and in no condition for a picture ;-)

29 Weeks

I know I'm wayyyy behind on my updates! So here we go! :-)

How Far Along: 29 Weeks

Size of Baby: 2 and a half pounds and a little over 15 inches long!

Total Weight Gain: 13 pounds

Maternity Clothes: Oh yes!

Gender: All girl! :-) Miss Emma Claire!

Movement: All the time, I just love it! She is more active at night when I finally lay down to rest.

What I Miss: I can't think of anything at the moment!

Cravings: Still just Chick-fil-A

Symptoms: Some back pain has started :-(

Best Moment of the Week: My wonderful baby shower! Read about it HERE! :-)

What I'm Looking Forward To: Getting to our new home and seeing the Hubster!

Baby Bump

I didn't get to take a "normal" side picture so here is one from the baby shower!

Professional Painters

My Mom and I have spent the last two days working our booties off painting. WHEW! I can finally say that the family room is now painted! :-) We've been joking saying that the "professional painters" came and painted the living room! HA! Everything turned out great and I am SO GLAD I had my Moms help, she is an awesome painter!

I showed the Hubster this picture and he said it looked like a Valspar ad! HA! I actually did LOVE this paint, it had pretty much NO odor! Which is perfect for me right now! We had all of the windows open anyways but it is VERY low odor.

I didn't realize how TALL our ceilings were until we had to tape off and cut it! HA! There was LOTS of taping off and cutting in! That was my job :-)

Here is a little peak at the finished product. I LOVE the color! It's Valspar "Hopsack" and we got it at Lowes. If you're looking for the perfect light brown then this is it!

My mom also stripped the caulking in our kitchen. It was old and had turned yellow, YUCK! And this before picture is AFTER I scrubbed and cleaned it! EW!

BEFORE

AFTER

WOW! Isn't that a HUGE difference?! My Mom rocks :-)

Also some exciting news, some of our furniture came today! YAY! Today we got the love seat and end table, the coffee table and couch will be coming on Friday. I was supposed to get the coffee table today but it didn't pass inspection yesterday so it's getting sent on Friday with the couch.

Gracie loves the new love seat :-)

Here is the new love seat with the end table and the freshly painted wall! :-) I'm loving all of the colors together! The end table looks almost black but it's just a really dark brown!

I think today I'm going to dedicate myself to our master bedroom...I think the Hubster will enjoy coming home to an organized room! Right now it's still a little bit of a disaster ;-)

Speaking of the Hubster....I only have to go to sleep alone the next THREE nights, the he'll be here!!! YAY! I miss this cute face...

And one last thing...I plan on actually doing my hair and getting ready today since we're done painting SO I am going to try and get a baby update in!!! :-) It's been too long, I have some catching up to do!

Progress

I thought it would be fun to update everyone with some of the progress being made on the house! Keep in mind there is still SO MUCH to do, but I felt like I needed to show some progress. If nothing else it will remind me that things ARE getting done! HA!

All of our dishes are now unpacked and put away in the cabinet!

Our version of a china cabinet ;-) We have all of our nice crystal organized in one cabinet!

Pots and pans are all ready to be used!

The dining room is starting to take shape! The table is all set up....the rest of the room is a different story ;-)

The TV is all set up, just waiting for cable!!!

Our new king mattress has been delivered and it is SO COMFORTABLE! At our condo we were using two twin beds pushed together for our master bedroom. I cannot tell you how much I LOVE my bed now!!!

Guest bedroom sneak peek :-) The bedding still needs to be de-wrinkled and there are a few paint projects I have up my sleeve before you get to see everything! We registered for this bedding when we got married and I LOVE it! I can't wait for the whole room to be finished, it's going to be a great relaxing room for our guests!

This is all you get to see of the master bathroom! ha! :-) The rest is quite a mess!

I've picked a color for the family room! I love it and really think it will work with the new furniture that's coming this week!!!

We got the paint for the nursery too! :-) I am SO EXCITED for her room to be done! I'm going to wait to paint her room until the Hubster gets home so he can help! It will be a fun project for us to work on together!

So there ya have it! We're making progress! I am SO THANKFUL for my Mom and my in-laws! They have been such a HUGE help! I honestly don't know what I would do without them!Thank you guys for everything you've done!

For those of you who are concerned that everything looks way too nice or neat...
I ASSURE YOU that the majority of the house is NOT done! HA! Most of the rooms don't have boxes in them anymore, but that doesn't mean they're done! Here are a few pictures that I can't believe I'm sharing, but it's what our master bedroom looks like for real! ha!

My little moving buddy...she has been great moral support ;-)

Yes, here is what the majority of my rooms look like now! A hodgepodge of my decorating stuff/baby stuff/the hubsters stuff that is not anywhere near in the right spot! I have lots of arranging to do!

So folks, that's what's been done so far! There is still SO MUCH MORE to be done, but it will get there! I hope you enjoyed this little preview!!! :-)

1,327 Miles Later

Well folks...I'm still alive!!! I have not been out of blog land for this long, EVER!!! Between my gigantic move AND trying to get wireless Internet I haven't had a ton of time or tools to blog! But I'm back, I hope! :-) To start us off I'm going to do a little re-cap of the trip out to Virginia! I have such a great best friend who drove alllll the way here with me and the pups! It was a long two day trip but we had so much fun and I'm so glad she was able to come along for the ride!

Our route...such a LONG way!

Our ice chest the night before...all packed and ready to go!

We left bright and early!

I couldn't leave my hometown without a trip to Kountry Donuts! If you're from around here, you know what I mean!

The sunrise was beautiful.

My little brother sent us on our trip with scratch off's for each state! Sadly we only won $4!

They dogs had plenty of room in the back seat. However, they spent most of the trip like this...

No joke, they love each other...a lot. Not many animals could stay like this for 21 hours!

They were the best passenger dogs! They slept pretty much the whole time and only had to stop when we did!

My cousin, David, was nice enough to let us stay with him for the night at our halfway point!!! He was a great host who even made us dinner!

Talk about a great host! :-)

The drive through Tennessee and Virginia on the second day was so pretty!

WE MADE IT! :-)

And what was our first stop? Target, of course!

After shopping we went to Panera in my cute little town square area and WE ATE OUTSIDE! Coming from Texas where the high had been 105-108 each day that was SO exciting for us to do!

I just love this little area!

Our upscale camping area! We lived in the downstairs area until our furniture came! The dogs had a great time!!!

The dogs are loving being on the second floor where they can watch everything that goes on in the street! And don't worry...there's a screen there, I don't let them stand in front of open windows without protection!

So here's a little re-cap of what I've been up to since I last blogged...I've had a TON of help from my amazing Mom and my wonderful In-Laws! :-)

- Drove from Texas to Virginia!
- Coordinated all utilities to our new house. (MUCH harder than it seems)
- FINALLY got the gas company to turn on the gas so I could have a hot shower!
- Dealt with my first gas leak.
- Searched for a new doctor.
- Found an amazing new doctor! :-)
- Went grocery shopping.
- I've gone to Target probably 15 times, I'm sure that number will grow.
- Directed movers all day long.
- Picked my Mom up from the airport!
- Got stuck in my first DC traffic jam.
- Experienced my first EARTHQUAKE.
- My Mom mainly gets credit for this one, Unpacked the kitchen.
- My Mom and In-Laws get credit for this one, got all boxes/trash out of the house!

Now I'm just waiting on furniture to be delivered!!! As nice as our folding chairs are, I can't wait to sit on our new couch ;-) I'm also excited because....

One week from today the Hubster comes HOME!

I hope you've enjoyed this little update! Look out for a house update soon...maybe ;-)
