35 Weeks

I'm FINALLY getting around to my 35 week post! HA! It's almost time for my 36 week post! :-) So here goes nothing...35 weeks!

How Far Along: 35 Weeks

Size of Baby: 5 and 1/4 pounds and over 18 inches long! The size of a honeydew melon!

Total Weight Gain: between 17-18 pounds

Maternity Clothes: YES!

Gender: Sweet little Princess

Movement: All. The. Time. And every time I read "your baby's movements might be slowing down at this point in pregnancy as they run out of room" I think..HA you've never met MY baby! I think she moves MORE now than ever before! It's almost constant, and I love it :-)

What I Miss: Oh goodness...sleeping through the night, not having to visit the bathroom each time I stand up, being able to walk at a normal speed, not having pressure constantly on my pelvis! The list goes on and on :-)

Cravings: MILK. I haven't had this much milk since I was a little kid! I drink it 2-3 times a day. Most of the time it is to relieve heartburn but I do crave milk on it's own too.

Symptoms: Heartburn, some nausea if she's really active, not being able to sleep, braxton hicks, PRESSURE...can't think of any more right now

Best Moment of the Week: Finishing her dresser and chandelier AND making her bed! :-) I can't wait to move her dresser from the garage up to her room. Although I'm sure the hubster can...hehe her room is on the 3rd floor. Have I mentioned that he's a GREAT daddy!?

What I'm looking Forward to: Finishing her room and washing all of her clothes and meeting her of course! But not yet..I still have more to do!

It's Okay...and a little Nursery Peek!

So I figure it's okay if one side of my kitchen looks like this...

And the other side looks like this...

And it's okay if most of my new fall decor is here...waiting to be put up. Since the rest of my decorations are still in storage containers in the garage ;-)

It's okay that my dogs had TWO..count 'em..TWO accidents today. One had a #1 accident and the other thought it was a great idea so she decided to pee right behind me while I was working in the baby's room. Can I mention right now that my dogs NEVER have accidents, and we had JUST been outside...

Luckily I am prepared to handle dog messes thanks to my Mother :-) She made sure I had all of the essential cleaning supplies while she was here.

All of that is okay because today several WONDERFUL things happened...

My Scentsy order arrived!!!

How can this not make a girl happy?!

Drum roll please....

Today we also put her crib bedding together!

I could  not love her bedding MORE! :-)

And you might be wondering about the bows...well this is what they looked like BEFORE I got a hold of them...

Ummm yeah. I was NOT a fan. The strings weren't long enough and all of the bows ended up looking very sad. So I took some extra hair bows and attached them on top! I only had 4 extra pink so I'll be making more tomorrow to attach to all of these sad little bows.

I know it's a super small, simple detail, but I just LOVE this look so much better!!!

Also here's a fun teaser...

I finished the chandelier today as well! I decided that it deserves it's own post...but until then here's a little sneak peek ;-)

LOVE.

Show Us Your Life: Shopping for Kiddos

Kelly, over at Kelly's Korner, is hosting Show Us Your Life: Where do you shop for your kids? I am SO excited to see what other people have to post about this topic! I'm always looking for great deals and steals and love hearing about new shops! I have been building quite the wardrobe for the little miss during the past 8 months, and have had SO MUCH FUN doing so! That being said, my baby clothes shopping is limited but I do have a few favorites!

Once Upon a Child

I shopped here with my Mom and got SO. MUCH. STUFF! I got several cute smocked dresses, name brand clothing, several pieces with tags still attached, and other basics that were great deals. I blogged about this shopping experience...Growing a Baby AND a Wardrobe.

Zulily

I have just recently discovered Zulily and I LOVE it! I have ordered Emma Claire's closet organizers and a sweet little smocked gown! But they sell out early so you have to be quick!!! The sales are different each day and start at 9ET! It's a favorite part of my day, seeing if I can find a great deal!

Etsy

I have gotten several monogrammed things off of Etsy! It's so much fun to search through all of the different stores. I don't have any favorites yet, I just do a search for monogrammed dresses/gowns/etc.

Target

I have to say that I LOVE TARGET! I also love their clearance section! I've gotten several really cute outfits at target for $1-$2!

Miss Emma Claire has also been SO BLESSED by our wonderful family and friends and has gotten so many cute outfits! She has quite the wardrobe and I just hope she gets to wear everything at least once!!!

Where do you shop for your kid's clothes?

Fun Fall Craft

A while back I found this cute idea on pinterest and just knew I had to make one for my house, and I had the perfect spot in my kitchen!!!

{VIA}

Here's my version! It was super easy! First I painted the inside and outside of the letters with black paint, then traced the letters with scrapbook paper and applied with Mod Podge and lastly added the ribbon and fun bow! Then I just hung it up in my kitchen! :-)

I LOVE it! :-) It adds another cute element to my little fall corner in my kitchen!

I know I've said this before but....

What did we do before PINTEREST?!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I feel like I JUST wrote my WILW post for last week, where is the time going?! I need it to SLOW DOWN! So much to do! As always, I'm linking up with Jamie at This Kind of Love!

Here's what I'm loving this week...

{One}
The Hubster

He's going to be the BEST daddy! He was so cute installing the car seat this weekend :-) I just love him.

{Two}
These little stinkers

They have been too funny lately. They just can't figure out why I've been outside so much! Yesterday they were really sweet and played with one of our neighbors (who is two and LOVED their attention!)

{Three}
Oil Rubbed Bronze Spray Paint

Thrift store candlesticks + oil rubbed bronze spray paint = HUGE TRANSFORMATION! Sorry for no "after" picture yet...but they haven't found a home yet ;-) As soon as they do I'll blog about this project a little more!

{Four}
Our Weekend Plans

The Hubster and I, along with some friends, are going to an apple orchard this weekend! We're supposed to FINALLY have some fall weather so we're celebrating by going apple picking! Now what will I make with our fresh apples?!

{Five}

If you haven't entered...you should! Enter HERE!

I hope y'all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday! I hope to finish up working on Emma Claire's dresser today, but the weather might not cooperate :-( I just have a few more projects for her room and then it will be time to put it all together for the big reveal! I hope you've enjoyed the little sneak peeks you've gotten along the way!

What are you loving today?

Don't Forget!

Don't forget to enter my Scentsy Giveway HERE!!! It will run through Friday!

Today I made a few more bows for Emma Claire. Dixie just LOVES when I make bows ;-)

Doesn't she look thrilled to be my bow model?

I know it doesn't look like it but this is a white, green and RED bow! AKA a CHRISTMAS bow!!! I need to get a red bowband to make it more Christmas-y!

And just for fun...

My belly has it's days where it is VERY lopsided! She loves to push her tush out on the left side ;-) I need to get a picture for my 35 week update!!! Look for that soon!

What I worked on for the majority of the day...

This is Emma Claire's dresser and may also be the DEATH of me...it has been a LOT of work. It has been sanded and stripped but the old stain is still seaping through the primer. There is light at the end of the tunnel...it seems that 2 coats of primer and one coat of paint has worked to cover up the stain spots! I will be adding a final coat of paint and we should be good to go. Oh, do you see my little "helper"? Yes she literally FLEW into the bottom drawer. Such a strange dog! Luckily the paint around where she jumped was dry and I was working on the top at that moment!

Hope you had a terrific Tuesday and don't forget about the GIVEAWAY! :-)

Hanging Chalkboard

So I literally JUST finished this little project for Emma Claire's room and I was DYING to show y'all!!! :-) It turned out better than I expected! I'm going to hang this on the outside of her door, and seeing as it's a chalkboard little notes can be written on it! I also just ordered a monogram decal on etsy that is going to go at the bottom where the "After" is. I can't wait to see how that will look when I add it!

I am in LOVE with the end result!!! And it was SUPER easy! Gotta love easy DIY projects :-)

Another great part...it was only $3.20! Thank you Hobby Lobby clearance section! You never know what you'll find!

Miscellany Monday

Today I'm linking up with Carissa over at Lowercase Letters for Miscellany Monday!

Our weekend actually started on Thursday because the Hubster had Friday off! That was a welcome surprise considering he had been gone and not only did he come home SEVERAL days early but he also got Friday off! :-) I was a very happy camper!

I was so glad he got Friday off because I had my 34 week appointment and he got to go, this was his second time to get to go with me to our new doctor! It was a miracle that he was able to come to ONE appointment, let alone TWO!!! I loved having him home for three days! However, the relaxing can only last so long when you know that a little someone is VERY close to making her big debut!!! So on Saturday and Sunday we got to work!

The weekend wouldn't be complete without a trip to Home Depot! The Hubster also went to Lowe's a time or two :-)

While at Home Depot I discovered this WONDERFUL surprise! Martha now makes GLITTER paint..and in hot pink no less. Needless to say I was way too excited about this paint! :-)

This little beauty has now been introduced to chalkboard paint! I am replacing the ribbon and will put this in the Nursery when it's all finished...stay tuned for the MANY nursery projects I worked on this weekend!!!!

The Hubster painted Emma Claire's Chandelier on Sunday! Here is the wonderfully brassy before ;-) Now it is SO. STINKIN'. CUTE. Just wait until you see it up in her room, it's ADORABLE!!!

The girls always love when we spend days outside :-) They just hung out and "spoke" with lots of neighbors!

Speaking of neighbors...on Sunday the Hubs and I met a TON of our neighbors that we hadn't yet! Our next door neighbors just had a sweet little girl last week, and I met a sweet young Mommy from across the street who has a toddler, AND our other next door neighbor gave us a "welcome to the neighborhood" bottle of wine! It was so nice to get to meet so many people...however it was NOT so nice that I had ZERO make-up on, was covered in dirt/paint from projects, and had lovely paint clothes on ;-) I guess you can't always be dressed to impress!

Is this not THE cutest picture? The Hubster installed the car seat this weekend as well! He was pretty much super husband/daddy all weekend!  He was so excited to get all of the baby gear in his car! I was cracking up :-)

I CANNOT wait to do a post about the nursery y'all...it's getting SO CLOSE!!! I'm almost done with all of my little projects and I cannot wait to share them with you! This weekend was quite the productive weekend! Although, after all of our hard work I broke down and didn't cook a Sunday night dinner...we totally ordered pizza from our favorite local pizza place and watched The Ugly Truth :-) I guess it's okay to have a lazy Sunday evening after having SUCH a productive weekend! I hope y'all had a great weekend!

Don't forget to enter my SCENTSY GIVEAWAY!!! :-)
