Today I had big plans of running some errands, going to the library, and doing a few house projects. However, I did none of those. Instead Emma Claire and I hung around the house and played. We had quite a low key day and nothing extraordinary happened. But aren't those some of the best days?
This morning the hubs had to go to work early but he was a rock star husband and took Emma Claire after I nursed her. They had some good Daddy/Daughter time and let mommy sleep. I was so grateful!
Mommy is a GREAT jungle gym first thing n the morning. Nothing like getting climbed on ALL OVER to wake you up. PS do you see our paint sample color on the wall in the top right corner? I'm loving it so far. Might be time to take the plunge and paint the whole room.
Morning playtime
Her new "growley" face. I'm almost positive she is feeling her teeth but it still makes me laugh!
EC had a HARD fall this morning. She was playing with her musical walker when she went all the way forward and banged her head. Some cuddles, nursing time with mommy, playing with the puppies and stripping off her jammies and she was as good as new.
Some serious reading going on here. She laid like this and "read" her ABC book for almost five full minutes. She is becoming great at independent play.
Smile! Camera time.
This is one of her new favorite things to do. She LOVES when I "flip" the camera around so she can see herself on the screen.
Always gets a good giggle out of her when we do this.
Fun Mail Day!
Today we got some fun mail from Polkadot Posies, our fav bow supplier! And as excited as I was about the bows Emma Claire was thrilled to have some paper to rip up.
I ordered some {gasp} SMALLER bows. Yep, that's right. Now that she has plenty of hair to hold a bow we had to downsize...for now! Don't think our big bows are gone forever!
I just love this. She has SO much hair now! This bow held like this all evening and I didn't even have a hair tie in it. It was just clipped up in her hair!
A real life ankle biter! She loves to bite me now.
Dinnertime
Tonight for dinner I just made a pantry pasta salad. AKA I cooked some pasta and threw in all of the veggies I had along with rotisserie chicken, Italian dressing, and salt and pepper.
Paired with my pasta salad I had the last glass of my strawberry and lemon infused water. Cait and Emily both have this pitcher and I have been meaning to get one all summer! I finally picked one up at Target the other day and I LOVE it so far! I think I'm going to use some blueberries next!
So there ya have it. Our simple, stay at home, Monday. I know that when Emma Claire is grown these are the kind of days I'm going to wish I could have back. I'm so thankful I have this blog so that in the years to come I will be able to look back and remember the small details of days like today.

Relaxing days can be some of the best. EC is adorable. I need to order some more bows for the girls
G bites me too! Hope it doesn't become her thing...and, I need to order some smaller bows to clip in too. Georgia has a lot of hair but the big bows don't look right without a headband right now.
Stay at home days tend to be some of my favorite days as well. Sometimes our week fills up so fast I have to set aside time to just stay at home! And those are usually the times I look forward to the most!
What a great day!
So sweet. Love the pink bow and can't believe it holds her hair up alone! You are so right- my heart aches thinking about how one day I'm going to just wish I could live one of these "mundane" days again...
Yup. I'm totally a jungle gym these days. :) live this post.
i love making dinners from the pantry! it's amazing what you can come up with sometimes! getting new bows is so exciting. we just lost one of eleanor's cutest bows! so sad. i think it is somewhere at church.
Those are the days I remember and cherished. Days to be still and just marvel at all your blessings♥
Can I ask where you got your rug and throw Pillows? Your living room looks so cute!
