Fun In Fredericksburg

Tuesday morning we had a meeting with our realtor and mortgage consultant so loaded up the little lady and were out of the house early.

I LOVE this outfit. Adorable.

After our meeting it was still early and we hadn't made big plans for the day so I threw out the idea of driving to Fredericksburg. It's an adorable town that has a really neat historic district. They also have a SONIC. Y'all, if you have ever lived near a sonic and then moved to a town without one then you will understand my excitement. The closest one to us is an HOUR.

Emma Claire's first time at SONIC!

She was just as happy as Momma about the strawberry lime-aid!

Daddy kisses. I love the face she is making.

After lunch we drove over to the historic part of town. I am in LOVE with this area. The streets are lined with old oak trees, the architecture is exquisite, and there are antique shops at every turn. I could have spent all day meandering the streets.

This sign was in one of the antique shop windows..so true.

One of the shops had a great selection of local Virginia wines.

Our dinner. Grilled salmon with lemon, rosemary, and garlic, and we had pasta with fresh beans on the side. The wine the hubs picked was perfect and it's my new favorite.

You poor woman . . . the closest Sonic is an HOUR away??? I probably go to Sonic for a drink AT LEAST 5 times a week. Probably more, haha.

I don't think Sonic exists in FL. Ignorance is bliss, right? ;)

Adorable pic of your hub kissing her. Oh my goodness, she is just too cute. (I know, I know...I say that all the time.)

Fredericksburg sounds so fun! Reminds me of Franklin, TN (Nashville area.)

I just had a strawberry limeade yesterday! It only takes me about 5 minutes to get there...not to rub it in your face or anything :)

Fredericksburg looks really quaint and cute!

Ah Fredericksburg, that's why we live here :) We absolutely love it!!!!

Definitely get the wines from Shenandoah at the Va. wine store, their white zinfendel is amazing!

PS - you were literally only about 10 minutes away from us!

We went to Sonic for drinks before class once a week in college. The day we moved to Illinois, we discovered the nearest Sonic is 45 minutes away. I told the hubs we needed to move!
