So I have been a slacker and am just now getting pictures of my Christmas decor...mainly because it's just getting finished! Decorating with a 6 week old has been a little difficult! :-) I finished the tree a few days ago and finally got presents wrapped and positioned under the tree. Our living room is also decorated and that's about all I've done! I still need to put the little one's tree up in her room. I'll put up pictures of that when it's done!
I love the traditional red and gold ornaments. Next year I'm going to try to have a more "fancy" tree. This was as good as it was gonna get for this year ;-)
Since our fireplace is on the bottom level I put our stockings on our TV cabinet since that's where we spend our time and the tree is behind our living room :-) We also got new monogrammed stockings and I LOVE them!
They're just so fun!!! :-)
I have some Christmas decorations in the kitchen and dining room but they aren't complete yet...not sure if the will be this year! I think the most important part of a home is that it is comfortable and "homey", and I just love that Christmas adds an additional dose of "homeyness".

I love your stockings, where did you get them? Your tree looks great
you did great! its beautiful!! :) we still have yet to get raleigh Grace's stocking embroidered... eek! and the only decorations we have are the mantel and our tree haha!! Growing up we always had tons of our "homemade" ornaments on it and k and I started a new one with gold red and green "classic" look... then we have a smaller artificial tree to put our childhood ornaments on but that didn't even get put up this year. you're right... things are a little more difficult with a newborn ha! :)
I love your christmas decorations! They look so pretty! I think you are exactly right--part of making decorating your home for Christmas has a lot to do with making it be homey! I totally agree. Hope you're having a great weekend! :)
