I just have to say that there's nothing better than applesauce made from fresh apples! I was somewhat skeptical at first, and wasn't sure how it would turn out...but it was WONDERFUL!
Ingredients
8-10 Apples
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (I actually used less)
1 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions
1. Wash apples.
2. Peel apples.
3. Cut apples into small pieces.
(didn't actually get a picture of this step...but you get the idea!)
4. Combine apples, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice and water in crock pot.
5. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.
I let mine cook until it was "mushy" enough for me! ha
ENJOY! :-)
Oh and it also helps if you have a little assistant in the kitchen...
Gracie got a little taste of the applesauce as well and she loved it too ;-)

Yum! Looks easy enough and definitely tasty.
Yum! I'll definitely have to try this! :)
That looks so yummy. I get hungry at night and I should not be reading this.
As soon as apples aren't $2.49/lb, (really!) I'm soooo making this.
(Were they less expensive to pick yourself or do they make you pay more for the "experience"?
Mallorie, I'm so excited you posted this recipe!! We have many Granny Smith apples from our co-op box, and I'm not that fond of just eating them since they're not that sweet, and I've been thinking applesauce--so perfect, thank you!!
Love crockpot recipes!
Awe what a cute little helper! Hehe! this looks so yummy!!
