Kids Say the Darndest Things

So if you have ever taken a baby out in public I'm sure you've noticed that they tend to draw attention. Especially my baby. She squeals, waves, babbles, screams to get attention, and smiles at pretty much everyone. She's pretty entertaining if I do say so myself. Lately she has attracted the attention of older kiddos. I have gotten some pretty hilarious comments and I feel like sharing. 

At Chick-fil-A a few days ago...

Little girl- "What's your baby's name?"

Me- "Emma Claire."

Little girl- "Wow that's a lot of names for a baby..."

Me- "Well I guess it is."

Little girl- "Do you even like all of those names?"

Me- "Yes, that's why I named her that."

Little girl- "Oh. Well I guess like them too. She's cute."

Kids are so honest, aren't they? ha! 

 Another funny little story. We were at the park the other day where we met a little family with two girls. The oldest girl was in first grade and the ENTIRE time we were talking she kept calling Emma Claire my "little sister" I told her a few times that Emma Claire was my daughter and that I was her mommy. She looked at me like I was crazy every time. I mean I know I'm younger but come on...I'm not a teenager! ha!

Emma Claire also adores boys. She is such a little flirt! Her daddy is in BIG trouble. We were eating lunch last week {at Chick-fil-A of course} and there was a group of little football players sitting next to us. She hardly noticed I was there she was so busy staring at them. They were too sweet and talked to her the entire time. Seeing a group of 10 year old boys coo at your daughter might be the cutest thing ever. 

Staring at the table of boys. Oh man are we in trouble.

Being a teacher I heard funny things from kids every day, and I really miss that. I am loving these funny little situations we are having now as Emma Claire interacts with bigger kids more often.
