Show Us Your Life: Side Dishes

I'm linking up with Kelly over at Kelly's Korner today for Show Us Your Life: side dishes! It may just be because I'm in Georgia right now but my current favorite side dish is the Hubster's Granny's okra! It's easy, simple, and good for you! If you're someone who doesn't like okra then I'm so sorry :-( I have ALWAYS loved okra, even as a kiddo! Yes, my mom had it easy with me...I always loved my vegetables!

Easy Peasy Okra

Ingredients

Okra
Salt
Pepper

Directions

1. Cut up all okra.

2. Put okra in skillet.

3. Season to your liking with salt and pepper.

4. Cook okra, stirring frequently until it is soft or browned to your liking!

See...how easy is that?! And it is SO GOOD!!! :-) Enjoy!

4th of July!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! :-) We had a great time celebrating up in the mountains, and I saw one of the best fireworks show that I've ever seen!

Thank you to all of the men and women who have served, or are currently serving, in the armed forces to secure our freedom.

Fun in the Mountains

While up in the mountains the Hubster, his parents, and I took a day to visit a cute little German town, Helen, Georgia. We visited a bakery, candy shop, mill, and on the way back we stopped at a fun store called Goats on The Roof! Here are some pictures from our fun day!

The Hubster and I with the mill! It was grinding corn when we took this picture!

The town had the most beautiful flowers!

Outside of Hansel and Gretel, the candy shop!

I am so sad that this store wasn't open...THE CHRISTMAS STORE!

Our last stop for the day...Goats on the Roof!!! This is the cutest little store that literally has goats walking around on the roof!

How sweet is this little face?!
