Nursery Update!

I finally ordered Emma Claire's crib bedding!

I've loved it from the first time I saw it and am so glad we went with this bedding! It's the Petite Paisley bedding from Pottery Barn Kids. I just love the bright colors and I think I'll have a lot of fun with all of the different accent colors in the bumper!

In other nursery news the rocking chair for her nursery is ALMOST finished! One more coat of paint tomorrow and screwing in the seats is all that's left! I'm also working on a cute cute cute bow holder for already huge collection of bows! I'm so glad that all of these little projects are getting finished before the big move. Once up at our new house all that will be left is getting her room painted and buying a crib (which will be white!).

Speaking of painting her room...I need some help here...I'm torn on wall colors. I'm not sure if pink would be to much pink. A light blue could work, and I think green would be cute but I had a light green room once growing up and it literally GLOWED. So I'm hesitant to do green walls! ha! Here are some example from the Pottery Barn Kids website. You can customize the crib AND the wall color...GENIUS!

So, HELP! What color would you paint the walls in this nursery?!

Family Binder

After reading Emily's post about her newest project (a family binder) over at Live a Charmed Life I was hooked and had to start making my own! I of course went straight to Pinterest where I found my newest favorite blog, I Heart Organizing, it's great blog with tons of awesome organizing ideas! I used her idea for a cover page and made my own!
I also got a bunch of other great ideas and am in the process of making more pages! As I get them done I will be sure to share! I'm not sure what sections I'm going to have yet, here's what I'm thinking so far. I'm sure I'll come up with other things that will need to go in here!

*Important Information: House info, emergency contact numbers, utilities information, phone list

*Cleaning: Cleaning schedule, checklists, cleaning tips

*Food: Menus, shopping lists, food charts, recipes

*Finance: Bills, Budgets

*Emma Claire: Doctors numbers, Doctors visit information

*Hubster: Work stuff , nothing that would interest you guys ;-)

*Fur-Babies: All of their shot records, vet visit paperwork

Do you have a family binder? If so, what's in it?

28 Weeks

WOW! 28 Weeks...aka I've officially started the THIRD and final trimester! I'm now SEVEN months pregnant...I've been saying this a lot lately but seriously, where did the time go?! I feel like I just found out I was pregnant and now I'm a whopping seven months?! AH! And the due date countdown is now at 84 days. HOLY COW! Moment to minorly freak out please...I just cannot believe that she will be joining the world that soon! I am still coping with the exit plan, hopefully in the next 84 days I will come to terms with the inevitable. I'm sure by the time her due date rolls around I will be so excited to meet her it won't matter...I hope. ;-)

How Far Along: 28 Weeks

Size of Baby: 2.25 pounds and about 14.8 inches tall!

Total Weight Gain: 13lbs

Maternity Clothes: Yes!

Gender: Sweet little GIRL!

Movement: Still a ton of movement. I do get a little freaked out when I can tell I'm feeling a foot/elbow/butt (not sure which I am ever feeling...but I know it's hard!). Movement now is just so different from the first little flutters! I also LOVE watching my belly at night. She literally rolls around and it's the neatest thing to watch. She has also started kicking and moving enough that I can see her movement through my shirt.

What I miss: Other than the Hubster, not too much. :-( Countdown: 25 days!!!!!

Cravings: Chick-fil-a...but who doesn't LOVE Chick-fil-a?! Grapes, Doritos (that's a new one), and kettle corn (convenient that we're still SO far away from fall! ha!)

Symptoms: My belly is feeling SO tight lately. I just don't know where she's going to go these next several months! I feel like I'm running out of room already! ha! Check back in with me at 39 weeks and see how I'm doing then compared to now ;-)

Best Moment of The Week: Spending time with my best friend Rachel and working on nursery projects with my Mom and Dad! We (I use that term loosely, my Mom has done almost ALL of the work! She's awesome!) have been working on an old dresser that we found at a local resale shop that will also be the changing table in the nursery! Look for a post about this soon, it's not quite done yet! We are also right in the middle of finishing up the rocking chair for the nursery! It's the flea market rocking chair that I wrote about HERE. It is DARLING! I can't wait to share! I also have a "new" antique low dresser thanks to my wonderful dad! I seriously have the BEST dad EVER! He was my personal carpenter all weekend helping fix up and repair both dressers! One literally had to be completely re-built! Look for a bunch of fun furniture posts to come soon!

What I'm looking forward to: Finishing up baby projects with my parents and my baby shower next weekend!

I'll leave you with a few pictures of one of my little darlings being extra cute...

Uh huh...she completely shredded an entire paper towel right at my feet! Little stinker! She even looks guilty!

Pinteresting

I am truly a pinterest addict, as I'm sure a lot of you out there are! What's not to love?! Drooling over gorgeous homes, finding great decorating ideas, yummy food, cute clothes...and the list goes on and on! I have so many great ideas that I can't wait to implement when I move into our house! For now I only have a few ideas that I've found that I can try out, one of them is the clementine candle!

Click HERE for the original post with directions!

Here is my attempt!

It actually worked much better than I anticipated! However, it did begin to burn quite quickly and I had to put it out :-( It was a fun to do and I LOVED how it looked but I'm just not so sure how practical it is. I would never leave one of these in a room unattended. The top started burning so quickly it could easily start a fire. It's a neat little trick to have and I might try it with a larger orange sometime and see how that works!

What ideas from Pinterest have you tried?!

Growing a baby...AND a wardrobe!

I think one of the most fun parts of being pregnant has been shopping for clothes for the little miss. Recently my mom and I discovered a new store that has stolen my heart. Once Upon a Child is a children's store where they sell gently used clothing and accessories. Oh. My. Gosh. Y'all. My mom and I spent hours looking through the clothes and found LOTS of great goodies!

Just like with furniture or any "used" goods you have to look for a while to find a gem. I found some great outfits that were hardly worn and some with tags on them! I am a HUGE fan of smocked dresses but they can run anywhere from $50-$150 in boutiques, I got several for just a few dollars at Once Upon a Child! Here are a few of my cute finds...

Polo Dress WITH tags! How darling is this?!

New...$24

Their price...$9.50, BUT it was 50% off! So it was about $5 with tax!

This may be one of my favorites :-) It's a smocked Friedknit Creations baby dress. LOVE. Only $4!

Here's another smocked dress, this one is just so sweet!

Brand new carters outfit for $2!

LOVE this one! Only $3!

My mom and I are addicted to this store now! I have two HUGE bags full of sweet little outfits and the most I spent on a single item was $5! To all of the expectant/new mama's...if you haven't been here you HAVE to go!!! You can visit their website to find a store near you! I was lucky and had very nice and clean stores in my area, I hope they're all like that!!! Oh! And you can sell baby clothes there too!!! So once you're done with all of the baby clothes you could make a little cash if you wanted!

27 Weeks

Hello everyone!!! I feel like I've been so out of the blogging world! I spent the past few days at my condo in Waco getting it ready for the big move! I have the best best friend EVER who came and helped me organize, pack and clean! This is definitely the weirdest moving experience I've had. The Hubsters company is paying for movers to move us...however they HAVE to pack everything up for it to be insured. So I spend the last three days making sure that the condo is as organized as possible so that they will be able to pack quickly and efficiently. Not being able to pack myself up has been stressful but I hope all of my hard work pays off when they show up! I know lots of people move with moving companies all of the time, but my family has always moved ourselves so it's my first experience with a moving company.

How Far Along: 27 Weeks!!!

Size of Baby: Almost TWO pounds and about 14 and a half inches long!

Total Weight Gain: I'm guessing about 13-14 pounds. Not sure

Maternity Clothes: Yep

Gender: Sweet little girl!

Movement: TONS! This week I was eating some pretzels (in a bowl nicely situated on my stomach) and Miss Emma Claire decided to kick at it! My mom and I watched her move the bowl around for about 15 minutes!

What I miss: The Hubster of course...and sleeping comfortably!

Cravings: Fruit, mainly grapes

Symptoms: Some stretching pain, her movement, and nesting has begun to kick in! I suppose it's the perfect time! My moving process is possibly the most organized

Best Moment of the Week: Spending time with my best friend while she helped me at my condo :-)

What I'm looking forward to: Seeing the Hubster in less than a MONTH!!!! The countdown is at 30 days until he moves into our house! I'm so excited! I can't wait to see him!
