What I'm Loving Wednesday

Hey y'all! Happy Wednesday! Since I'm finished with school and it's summer...my days are running together. I hardly knew it was Wednesday!

If you want to participate in What I'm Loving Wednesday link up HERE!

Here's what I'm loving today...

{One}
Being an Alumni of Baylor University!

{Two}
American Idol

I am totally in love with this season! I never thought I would like it, but I'm hooked! Next week is the finale and I'm SO EXCITED to see who's going to win! I love all three of the contestants left....I don't want to see anyone leave :-( Are any of you watching? Who's your favorite?!

{Three}
Getting Wedding Presents!!!

I love getting presents in the mail! :-) It's like Christmas every day!!! I also love all of the gifts we got at the party...they've all been opened and are waiting to be packed up and moved! We are so lucky to have such generous family and friends. I can't wait to use all of our new things we've gotten!!!

EEK! :-) I just love everything we got at our Dallas party! I'm currently working on all of my thank-yous!

{Four}
My Mommy

Now, I love my Mommy every day...not just today...but she got me a surprise present today!!! She knew I had reeeeeally wanted an iced tea maker, and hadn't gotten one at any of my parties. So she went and got me one!

 Do I have the best Mommy, or what?!

{Five}
My Blue Salt and Pepper Shakers

Now, technically these should go under wedding gifts...since that's how I got them...but I love them so much I think they should get their own section. One of my Mom's wonderful friends (and I consider her my friend too!) got these for me, I just love them! Thanks Christie :-)

{Six}
Thrifty Finds for under Five Dollars

I am IN LOVE with these lamps. The Hubster is fantastic and went along to a few thrift stores with me today :-) I saw these and knew I had to have them...I'm sure the Hubster thinks I'm crazy...but I can see beyond the brass! I'm planning on putting these beauties in our future guest room! I'm thinking they would be so pretty painted a light blue with a white lamp shade... :-)

And you can't beat the price...each lamp was only $5!

I got them at Angels' Attic in Grapevine!

{Seven}
My Fur-Babies

As always, I'm loving my sweet babies! This picture of Gracie was TOO FUNNY not to post! HA! I actually caught her after a yawn :-)

This sweet girl just doesn't take a bad picture...EVER! I was trying to get a "funny" one of her, just like her sister...but nope, she's just too cute! Don't you hate pretty people...uh, I mean...dogs! ha! :-)

{Eight}
My Wonderful Husband

Isn't he just too cute :-) I am the luckiest girl in the whole wide world. He is the best husband!

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2

Wedding Party

This past weekend the Hubster and I were blessed to be able to celebrate our marriage with our Texas family and friends! We were even joined by The Hubster's parents who came all the way from Georgia to party...well for the party and for graduation! This is your warning...this is a picture heavy post, but I feel there's no better way to describe a party than to show pictures of it!

My best friend, Rachel, and my mom worked so hard to create the most beautiful flower arrangments! They were so pretty!

Both cakes were DELECIOUS! And everyone was asking who my baker was....hehe we ordered them from Costco! They were inexpensive and SO SO YUMMY! If you have a party coming up and need a wonderful cake that won't break the bank...go to Costco! And no...they aren't paying me to say this or giving me free cake..I wish! ha!

My parents are just too cute :-) My Dad gave a great speech, it had us dying laughing the whole time!

I am so grateful that I have had such a wonderful best friend for the past 17 years...Rachel gave a fantastic speech that showcased some of the funnier moments of our childhood :-) Needless to say...she put up with a lot, I was quite the spunky child! Her speech made me laugh so hard I cried...so please ignore the strange look I have on my face in the picture below....I was trying to stop crying!

My Poppy gave a wonderful speech as well :-)

The Hubster and I with my parents and my Dad's parents!

My wonderful in-laws!

My Baylor best friend :-) Aren't you jealous of her TAN?! I am!

We are so blessed  to have such wonderful family and friends! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, we had such a great time!!!

“A blessed thing it is for any man or woman to have a friend, one human soul whom we can trust utterly, who knows the best and worst of us, and who loves us in spite of all our faults.” Charles Kingsley

Sic'em Graduation!

Hello everyone!!! :-) I am so behind on blogging...it's been a very crazy and busy week! I'm going to try and play catch up today! Last weekend I graduated from Baylor University! I can't believe the past four years have gone by so quickly! Sitting at graduation was such a surreal feeling.

Smiling up at The Hubster and our parents! They got a seat right next to my section!!! :-)

Walking across the stage right after getting my diploma!

My wonderful and supportive parents :-) I couldn't have gotten through these past four years without them!

My Baylor boy and I, we're now both Baylor Alumni! What a great feeling!

Beautiful

I hope you enjoy looking at my mother-in-law's beautiful flowers as much as I do :-)

Shrimp Festival

This past weekend I attended my first ever Shrimp Festival in Fernandina Beach, Florida. There was a lot of fun, sun, and food! During the festival there were pirates everywhere! They "invaded" on the first night, then they stuck around for the fun! If you look to the left of this picture you'll see a strapping Jack Sparrow look-a-like who had just grabbed some food! :-)

Speaking of food...there was So. Much. Food!
The Hubster and I tried a bunch of different things!

 This was our first attempt...we got some grilled shrimp, corn, and sausage. It was pretty good!

I'm not a huge fan of fried food, but I did eat some..I mean I was at a SHRIMP festival, what kind of person would I be if I didn't have some fried shrimp? :-)

Now on to our respective favorites...mine was fresh squeezed lemonade! SO YUMMY! :-)

Now on to the Hubster's favorite...not quite as "healthy" as mine...but equally delicious to him :-)

FRIED OREOS

I have never tried them and just couldn't bring myself to eat them. I'm not a huge oreo fan, and frying them didn't make them any more appealing to me. That's okay though..Hubster at enough for the both of us :-) He was like a little kid, he couldn't get enough!

We took the dogs along for the ride...they had it easy, hanging out in their little stroller the whole time. Yes, stroller. If you read my What I'm Loving Wednesday post from yesterday {you can find it here} then you've been clued in to the fact that the Hubster and I treat our dogs like our babies...literally! hehe

They were truly a sight to see :-) Everyone wanted to stop and pet them, we made lots of new friends this weekend!

Here are my cute in-laws :-)
They go to the Shrimp Festival every year and have been going forever!

It was such a fun weekend, it was made even better by the Hubster's best friends arrival! He brought along his girlfriend and we all had such a fun time together!

Aren't they just too cute in their MATCHING outfits? hehe! It was actually an accident, but I think they look cute regardless! We went to the second day of the festival with them, and then played putt putt that night...sadly I didn't have my camera...I'll let you guess who won. Let's just say that the boys were NOT happy! ;-)

Here we are after the festival...both red as lobsters! But we had such a fun time it was worth it!
