Nursery Reveal

I know what you're thinking..."It's about time!!!" :-) I am so excited to finally share Emma Claire's sweet little nursery with you! I took about a million and one pictures trying to make sure I covered everything. {aka picture HEAVY post...you've been warned!} I love how the final product turned out and it was worth all of the hard work! The only thing that would make this room cuter is an adorable baby in it! Soon enough... ;-)

I love that this is what I see now when I come up the stairs

This is what you see when you first step in the door! I wanted you to get a feel for the layout since the room is pretty tiny!

I am in love with her crib.

The decorations above her crib. We wanted it to be simple, so we went with her monogram and above is a little plaque that reads, "Miracle. The nearest thing to Heaven is the miracle of a child."

Her little stuffed friends, the lamb is from Uncle Marcus and the bunny was mine when I was a baby :-)

These frames are hanging on the wall next to her crib. For now they have her cute little sonogram pictures in them!

I cannot believe how well the dresser turned out after all I went through with it! It is absolutely perfect.

The curves are so dramatic now that the dresser is white!

Her dresser decorations! The frame has a picture of the Hubster and his parents in it!

The room wouldn't be complete without "B is for Baylor" on display! The frame up on the shelf has a picture of me with my parents in it! All Grandparents are accounted for in the nursery!

This was my bear when I was a little girl. He was obviously well loved, he has lost an eye and his arm has been sewed back together many times.

I can't wait to rock my sweet little girl in this corner.

Nothing sweeter than a baby dress :-) Especially a yellow polka dotted one! I'm hoping this will be her Easter dress!

Her chalkboard...now complete with her monogram at the bottom!

I am obsessed with her monogram!

I can't wait to put her little feet and hand prints in here!

I'm not sure she has enough bows ;-)

Her closet! I only hung up her "outfits"...all onesies, PJ's, pants, and gowns have been folded and put in her dresser! The child has SO. MANY. OUTFITS. :-) Thank you to everyone who contributed to her wardrobe!

Her drawer with all of her newborn clothes, they're just SO TINY! I love it!

All of her PJ's!

I hope you enjoyed the tour of our little miracle's room! We just can't wait for her to make her grand entrance!

Tuesday Thoughts

This is going to be a very random post...you've been warned :-) I wish I could report that I've been spending my days like my dogs...

They LOVE our deck...they pretty much hang out in the sun all afternoon. Oh the life of a dog.

THIS is what I've been up to while my dogs have been lounging in the sun...
I'm happy to report that almost all of this has been done!

Our dinner last night, taco salad! Yum!

Can you spot the dog? hehe I did laundry yesterday and had our couch blankets all folded up. The dogs were not happy that one wasn't laid out especially for them like usual.

They LOVE their blankets...do you see my computer in the left portion of the picture? We were skyping my parents when Gracie jumped up on the blanket pile so we had to show them! They stayed this until I finally spread out the blankets for them!

Today I've been working on bedroom laundry. I've washed our master bedroom linens and am now working on the guest bedroom, getting ready for parents to come visit! I'm about to go get a Dr. Pepper from Chick-fil-A and then go get a mani/pedi! :-) A little bit of pre-baby pampering, I think it's well deserved if I do say so myself! I hope you're all having a terrific Tuesday!!!

38 Weeks

The countdown has really started!!! Only 14 days until my due date, yikes that's close! :-) Today is a housework day, I'm working on cleaning, organizing, and doing laundry. I've already organized our pantry, cleaned out the fridge/freezer, cleaned the kitchen and am working on laundry. Tomorrow I'm hoping to go get a mani/pedi and run some errands. Wednesday is my 38 week doctor appointment! I love going to see my doctor, she is wonderful! Although I have developed this fear that each time I go they're going to tell me that I have to stay at the hospital! HA! So the few days leading up to my appointment I go crazy making sure everything is ready just in case!

How Far Along: 38 Weeks

Size of Baby: She weighs close to 7 pounds and is almost 20 inches long! She's the size of a WATERMELON. Holy cow....

Total Weight Gain: 19 pounds? Not exactly sure.

Maternity Clothes: Yes! And non-maternity sweaters.

Gender: A little princess

Movement: Still moving all the time!

What I Miss: Bending over without getting heartburn, sleeping more than an hour without having to go to the bathroom.

Cravings: Dr. Pepper, that's pretty much it. Oh, and apples! I LOVE gala apples! We got a bunch of them at Costco the other day and they are SO good!

Symptoms: Sore ribs from her sweet little kicks, I tire out pretty easily during the day but my mind races at night with all that I have left to do!

Best Moment of the Week: Getting things checked off of the never ending to-do list and awaiting the arrival of Allie's {from Living the Adventures} sweet baby girl! As I type this she is 9cm and is just waiting to push!!! :-) Come on Raleigh Grace!!! Say a little prayer for this sweet little family!

What I'm Looking Forward To: My doctors appointment on Wednesday and having the nursery DONE!

Baby Bump

I tried to get some cute pictures with my furry babies, they weren't quite as excited as I was!

Weekend Randoms

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a great weekend! The Hubster and I have just been working around the house trying to get things in order before Emma Claire's arrival. I had planned to do the nursery reveal today but there are still a few things that need to be hung on the wall! Don't kill me! I promise that the nursery will be done SOON! :-) Here's a little bit of what we've been up to this weekend!

Friday I went over to my friend Danas and we baked cupcakes for her daughters dance team tailgate! These weren't just any cupcakes though...

They had cookies inside! We just added half of a break and bake cookie inside the batter! YUM!

Friday night was completed with some high school football! It was homecoming, but up here in the "north" they don't do mums! It was so weird to not see ANY! Y'all that are from Texas know what I'm talking about! It's all about the mums at homecoming!

Saturday morning the doorbell rang and we found this on our front steps!!! It is Emma Claire's first present from one of her Uncles!!!! Uncle Marcus (the Hubster's brother) wins the first present award!!!

It's her first build-a-bear...or in this case, lamb! Isn't it precious! :-)

I just love what the tag says..."stuffed with hugs and good wishes"! So sweet! The lamb has now taken up camp in Emma Claire's crib!

The Hubster and I both worked really hard to check off lots of odds and ends off of our to-do list!

Please excuse the terrible quality, phone picture! The Hubster hung Emma Claire's curtain rod and I ironed and hemmed her curtains last night!

{VIA}
Today the Hubster and I went to Costco (finally!) and got our membership! Our first purchase was a shredder! Someone was quite excited about that ;-) I was a little more excited about being able to buy tilapia and crab cakes at a decent price again!

Today after taking my 38 week picture I tried to get a cute picture with the girls and my belly...they weren't very cooperative.

This is me telling them to "look excited about meeting your sister!" I wanted a cute picture with their paws on my belly...they weren't really amused....we gave up! HA! :-)

On the baby front, nothing new to report! Yes...I'm obviously still pregnant! No contractions, just slight cramping (mainly at night). I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday and should find out if I'm progressing any! She is still moving around like crazy and loves making my belly bend and move :-) I know she's going to be here before we know it so the Hubster and I are just trying to enjoy our last few weeks as just the two of us! He is starting to get REALLY excited for her to be here! It's pretty cute, he keeps saying he can't wait to meet her and hold her. Today he said he wished she was here to lay on the couch with him and watch football...too cute, I know :-)

Now we're just relaxing and enjoying watching the Cowboys! We usually don't get the games up here so it's a little treat! I hope y'all had a great weekend! Nursery reveal SOON :-) get excited!!!

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

If you are in need of a quick and easy dinner that is also DELICIOUS I have the solution!!! :-)

While talking with my friend Leah tonight she told me she was cooking dinner for her boyfriend. The conversation naturally turned to what she was cooking...Chicken Pillows. Now, I had never heard of Chicken Pillows...so should I have been surprised that Leah found the recipe from Pinterest!? I'm convinced that all good things come from Pinterest ;-) The original recipe can be found at The Girl Who Ate Everything I decided that I didn't have dinner set in stone yet so I was going to check it out. Luckily I had the majority of the ingredients necessary! It sounded like it would be good so I decided to give it a try! Let me tell you...I am SO GLAD I did, and so is the Hubster!

Now I'm going to give you the original ingredients/directions (in blue) VIA The Girl Who Ate Everything and tell you what I substituted/omitted! (in pink!) Just because I didn't do everything exactly like she said!

Ingredients/Directions

Mix Together

8 ounces cream cheese, softened {I only had 4 ounces}
½ cup sour cream {Omitted}
{Added some of the cream of chicken soup, shredded cheese, dash of milk, and Parmesan cheese}

Add In

½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 ½ Tablespoons dried chives
1 ½ Tablespoons fresh onion minced {Omitted...was feeling yucky and didn't want to deal with onions ;-)}
3 chicken breasts, cooked and diced (around 3 cups) {Used one can of canned chicken...again, didn't feel good and was feeling lazy}

Assemble Pillows

2 (8 ounce) cans Pillsbury crescent rolls {Used one can of grands biscuits}
1/4 cup melted butter
Italian bread crumbs (around 2 cups)
{Didn't have any...made my own}

***At this point scoop a spoonful of chicken mixture into flattened biscuit and fold up, dip top into butter and roll in breadcrumbs. Then place on baking sheet.***

Gravy

1 (14.5 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 (0.87) package chicken gravy mix
{Omitted...just used water to mix with soup}

Seriously y'all...these were SO GOOD! The hubster kept saying that this was his new favorite dinner over and over! Now, I love my husband and he usually has nice things to say about my cooking but he went on and on and on about these. I take it he liked them a little more than our usual dinners ;-)

I served ours with some mixed veggies. YUM! We also had a salad before dinner.

I HIGHLY recommend these..does this not make your mouth water!?

Needless to say I'm so glad I chatted with Leah this evening! :-) I think the Hubster would say he is MORE than grateful! Seriously...what did we do before Pinterest?! HA! And just for good measure...here are the links for this scrumptious meal one more time.
