Matchmaker, Matchmaker, Make Me a Match!

Kelly, over at Kelly's Korner, does a really Show Us Your Life party that I've always wanted to participate in! She has all of her followers link up with a blog post about their single friends...in hopes that someone will make a connection and possibly fall in love! :-) I am excitedly writing today about one of my very best friends, Paige!

Paige is from Houston and went to Baylor University. Aggies...read no further! I kid, I kid...sort of! ;-) I met her during our sophomore year and was so impressed with her drive to succeed in school, kind spirit, and fun attitude I couldn't NOT be her friend!!! :-)

She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and obtained dual certifications in English as a Second Language and Gifted and Talented Education. In college she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta where she was a float chair and the chaplain! She is now earning her masters in Educational Psychology at Baylor! Sic'em Bears!

Paige is a loving, Christian woman who attends church regularly. She loves children and has several families that she babysits for regularly. She also loves furry children :-) My dogs ADORE her! And they're a pretty good judge of character!

She is also the best Aunt EVER!!! :-)

Paige also has a passion for traveling and has been just about everywhere...her goal is to get to Antarctica so that she can say that she's been to every continent! How fun is that?!

Egypt

Australia

Paris

I have so many wonderful things to say about Paige...they can't all fit into one blog post! She is fun, loves kids and animals, has the best personality, is addicted to Starbucks, and is always thinking about others. Although she does have one downfall...she doesn't like CHOCOLATE! I know, hard to believe right?! :-) If that's a persons only downfall then I guess it's alright! If you think you know a lucky guy that would be just right for my best friend you can leave a comment or email me! Make sure they have a sense of adventure though...she LOVES trying new things!!!

I know this verse doesn't have to do with my matchmaking abilities, but then again maybe it does! A friend sent this to me and it has really helped me through a rough week! If you're looking for someone and haven't found them...just know that God has the perfect person out there waiting for you! You just have to be patient and trust in His plan for you!

"The joy of the Lord is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10

Thanks for stopping by!

Luck and Moody General Store

Today on the way to the in-law's house we stopped in at the Luck and Moody General Store. It's just about the cutest little peach barn there is in South Georgia!

We got some peaches that are just wonderful! (I'm eating one as I write this!)

They also had homemade blueberry and peach ice cream! I didn't get any but it sounded yummy!

It was the cutest little place, I just had to share! :-)

Sweet Memories

Each year when visiting the beach my family ALWAYS goes to the local candy shop, The Candymaker. I have loved visiting  and look forward to it each trip! My brother and I always had so much fun getting a little candy bag and filling it up with goodies! Our bags would be filled with gummy worms, jelly beans, saltwater taffy, jawbreakers...you name it...we got it! It's a wonder that I still have all of my teeth ;-) Since my last visit, this cute little store has moved locations and has gotten a much bigger store! Today I went and took a few pictures for all of you to drool over!

And I can't forget my favorite part of visiting The Candymaker...SALTWATER TAFFY!

The Candymaker has the BEST saltwater taffy!!! Cinnamon is my all time favorite! This was such a "sweet" way to end my beach trip! I can't wait to see The Hubster in just a few days!!! :-)

21 Weeks

Well...I'm over half-way done! :-)

How Far Along: 21 Weeks

Size of Baby: Emma Claire is the size of a banana! She is 10.5in long and weighs about 12.7oz!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I haven't weighed myself since the doctors visit, but I'm guessing still around 10 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: Since I'm at the beach I've been wearing dresses all week! :-)

Gender: Still a little girl!

Movement: Little miss is quite active! She loves the beach, and I can really feel her when I'm in the water!

What I miss: Being able to lay out on my tummy to get sun on my back! I now have to use a floaty with a hole in it!

Cravings: Not really any this week, I have started eating lots of PB&J sandwiches this week though! That one may just be from hanging out with little cousins :-)

Symptoms: My growing belly!

Best Moment This Week: Actually SEEING her kicks! If I lay down I can see her moving around, it usually happens at night right before bed.

What I'm Looking Forward To: The hubster getting to feel her kick and SEE her move around! :-) He's going to love it!

Beach Baby Bump!

Well this picture isn't nearly as fancy as last weeks, but it'll do! :-) The belly grows a bit every day!!!

Fun in the Sun!

The beach has been great so far! :-) I'm having fun with my family, and I LOVE that I get to see the Hubster on FRIDAY!

I. CAN'T. WAIT. :-)

Such a pretty first beach day!

How sweet are these little toes? Nothing cuter than little toes covered in sand! :-)

Little cousins are having a BLAST at the beach! It's so fun to watch!

BEACH BOOK LIST!
Don't get your hopes up...it's nothing fancy, no thought provoking books...just fun, lighthearted reads :-) AKA Exactly what I need right now!

Okay, all of you preggers ladies out there...this book is too funny! It was written in such a cute fun way, it's really like getting advice from a friend! There wasn't anything extremely new to me in here, but it was a fun and informative read! :-)

So in case this picture didn't clue you in...I love Jude Deveraux :-) Her books are interesting, fun, quick reads. I love history so historical romance novels are my weakness! I've already read one (in a day!) and am starting another today at the pool this afternoon. Like I said, my book list isn't one that everyone would like...but it works for me right now! I'm on vacation and there's nothing better than a good romance novel at the beach! I also treated myself and bought a NEW book! I usually pick up my Deveraux novels at the local thrifty book store, but her newest, Scarlet Nights, was at the grocery and I couldn't pass it up! It sounds great, so we'll see!

A Change of Scenery

Hi y'all! :-) I am so lucky to be spending some quality time with my family in this beautiful place...

It will be nice to relax and spend time with friends and family for a few days!

My beach "To-Do" list!

- Relax (yes, I have to put this on the list...it's something I have to actually think about now that the Hubster is gone and life has gotten a tad more stressful lately!)

- Read my new books! I LOVE reading and could (probably will) read a book a day!

- Get up and see the sunrise at least once...I've never done that while at the beach and I really want to during this trip! (this one MAY be asking a little much ;-) ha!)

- Enjoy my last beach trip without a baby! Although I think it will be significantly MORE fun with the baby :-)
