What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday y'all! :-) This week has been dragging by...I think partly because we were getting everything ready for the Hubster to leave today! I just hate "good-byes", even though I'll see him in just a few weeks! We'll blame the pregnancy hormones ;-) Now to think of happy things...here's my What I'm Loving Wednesday! Don't forget to visit Jamie's blog,{HERE}, to read other WILW posts and to link up!

{One}
Dove Ice Cream Bars

These are SO YUMMY! I don't have any in my freezer now...I need to fix that!

{Two}
Emma Claire

I'm loving that little miss Emma Claire is the size of a mango! What I'm really loving is that she is moving ALL THE TIME now! :-) I just LOVE it!

{Three}
My little baby bump!

I finally have a little baby bump! YAY! Although without my hand holding down my dress I still don't think I would look pregnant to someone who didn't know I was pregnant. If that makes any sense! :-)

{Four}
My goofy fur-babies

How could you not love this sweet face?

{Five}
My sweet, wonderful Husband :-)

I just love this picture of us :-) It was taken right after we first started dating...I can't believe that was over two years ago! I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful person!

{Six}
Psalm 30:5

I've talked about my daily bible verses before, I just love getting them! Two days ago the verse I got was Psalm 30:5. It was the perfect verse to start my day. I have a few emotional days lately, not only is the Hubster getting all ready to leave for training...but a close family friend passed away and her funeral was held yesterday. As I have sad moments or days I always remember that God has a plan for my life and that everything that is going on right now is according to His plan.

"For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5

19 Weeks

How Far Along: 19 weeks 1 Day

Size of baby: Miss Emma Claire is 6.0 in long and weighs 8.5 oz. She's now the size of a mango!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: According to my home scale about 7lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Still in the awkward stage :-(....normal clothes don't fit but maternity clothes are like tents, even the smalls :-( For now I just wear pants in a size up and wear looser fitting tops!

Gender: GIRL!

Movement: She has been moving all the time! I feel her every day, and she's actually moving around as I type this!!! :-) I love it! This past week I was laying on a raft in the pool with Paige and I noticed my stomach had "poofed" up to the right side. Well she had scooted her way over there and the majority of her little body HAD to be on the right side! It was SO HARD, and the left side was much softer! It was fun to then watch her "move" back to the center!!!

What I miss: Nothing really. :-)

Cravings: Lately I haven't had a ton of cravings or aversions. Although the Hubster and I were out running errands this morning and I smelled pizza literally everywhere we went! ha! He thought I was crazy!

Symptoms: I've started to have achy feet after a lot of walking, but other than that nothing really.

Best Moment this week: Feeling her move SO MUCH yesterday! I think it was her most active day so far!

What I'm looking forward to: The Hubsters face when he sees how much bigger my bump is after not seeing him for a few weeks! :-)

Baby Bump!

Well folks...the bump has arrived!!! :-) Although this was after a big breakfast! I really can feel a bigger difference in size though, when I bend over I can really feel the uterus...and when I lay down it pops up!

Lessons Learned

Some lessons are harder to learn than others. Such as...some pieces of furniture just aren't worth the trouble, even the really neat looking ones. :-( When I first saw this vanity/dresser set at the local flea market back in March I just loved them!

I had planned to sand them down, re-stain them or paint them, and put on new knobs. I just KNEW that they were going to look great when I was done with them. However, God had greater plans :-) Shortly after the purchase of these I found out I was pregnant and therefore couldn't do all of the work that these pieces would require. I also couldn't seem to move from the couch! ha! Now that I'm feeling better and getting ready to move I planned on taking these pieces up to Dallas with me to have my mom help me fix and paint them. Sadly, I started looking at the vanity and realized that there was some sort of vernier or particle board covering the original wood. SUPER. I figured I could just peel that off.

As I started I realized that this stuff was not going ANYWHERE. Now I started to get pretty bummed out, especially when I saw that it was peeling at other places too.

At first I thought that I could strip the vernier off and then just sand and stain the wood underneath. Simple enough...except that the damage the real wood was taking while removing the vernier wasn't going to work out well in the end. I finally decided that this piece of furniture just wasn't for me and decided to let it go :-(.

I was afraid that my unique dresser was going to have the same fate...I went and checked it out and realized that it too was covered in vernier, and was in worse shape than the vanity. So, I've made my peace with these pieces of furniture...I donated them today. :-( I bought a pair of lemons and I just have to move on. *Sigh* All in all, I've re-done several pieces of furniture and this was my first bad experience. I am just going to learn from my mistakes and move on!

In life, sometimes you just have to grin and bear it :-)

Food Fun and Furry Friends

So as I was trying to decide what to blog about tonight I realized that the only part of my life I've documented in the past few days has been food...you can see where my mind has been lately! ha! :-) I pretty much have only taken pictures of food, or the dogs eating food...good blogging content, I know. I guess this is just me celebrating the fact that my appetite has truly come back? Let the food photos begin!

My breakfast this morning...and Hubsters, his was identical :-) Fruit salad with apples, strawberries and bananas...along with scrambled eggs and orange juice!

I've found out that lately...I'm a food advertisers best friend. Seriously y'all...I haven't had many cravings, but if I see something that looks good on TV I have to try it! Case in point...the new Magnum chocolate bars. They're good, BUT I must say they're not quite as good as the Dove chocolate bars. I think my loyalty will stay with Dove, which up until last week I had never tried! I saw a segment on The Today Show about the best chocolate bars...so what did I do? Go out and buy Dove bars of course!

I do love that the Magnum bars have a fancy "M" stamped on them...I choose to believe they're made just for me! :-)

Dinner tonight, Rice Casserole! You can find the recipe HERE! :-) I've tweaked it since I first posted it, and I've added pictures!!!

It's healthy and it tastes good, what's not to love!

I even added some to the puppies dinner tonight...they were VERY happy! :-)

Some other news that isn't food related :-) We found out today that after spending around $90 on boxes, cleaning out the Hubsters ENTIRE closet, and packing the majority of it...that our moving company PACKS AND MOVES everything for you...wonderful. Apparently if you pack it they won't insure it...and I want everything insured, especially when being moved completely across the country. So the super control freak in me will be organizing everything in sight so that the movers know what to pack and how to pack it....this will be fun. Pray for me....and the movers :-)

In other news, the Hubster and I are a MAGNET for lost/stray animals.  God must send us all animals that are lost and need to get home! Today the Hubster went to go pick up his dry cleaning and came back with a four legged furry friend. The sweet little Jack Russell was obviously loved, he was plump and had a nice collar. The Hubs thought he might have just run away so he walked the dog around our area with no luck :-( So off to the Humane Society we went to see if he had a microchip...we were in luck, HE DID! I was thrilled, however the staff at the Humane Society couldn't get any info other than the company that the chip was registered to. So, we left...little dog still in tow. We looked up the number for the company of the chip, called...got a name, number AND address! I was sure we were in luck now! However when we got to the apartment complex the office staff couldn't get a hold of the owner and it turns out..she had moved, with no forwarding address. WONDERFUL. I did not have room for another dog! The Hubster and I tried one last time, we went to our apartment complex to give them her name to see if she lived near us. We finally caught a break and found her new address. Luckily we found the owner and were able to return our little furry friend, who's name turned out to be Princeton! ha! It was a long two hours, but I seriously believe God wanted The Hubster and I to find this dog because he knew we would make sure it got home. Thankfully little Princeton was micro chipped! Let this be a lesson to all of you dog owners, MICROCHIP your fur-babies!

Whew that was a lot...and with no pictures, I didn't have my camera with me on our afternoon adventure! However this morning, at about 6:30am mind you, Dixie found a litter of kittens under our spa deck. SEE, we are MAGNETS! ha! I plan on trying to get them out from under the spa and taking them into the humane society so that hopefully they can be adopted and spayed and neutered so they don't continue to breed under our spa! Look for a kitten post in the future...if I can catch them! :-)

Midweek Randoms

Today the Hubster and I went to the store and I felt the intense need to purchase the entire fruit section...I contained myself though and just bought the following...

Cherries are the perfect summer treat for me! I just love them!

I always cut up my strawberries right when we get home...it just makes eating them easier and I think it keeps them fresh longer!

Apples, bananas and peaches. I love a full fruit basket! :-)

Apparently being pregnant makes you extremely empathetic to every living creature on earth....has anyone else felt like this, or am I crazy?! :-) While I've always had a huge heart for animals...bugs were never on that list. Lately I can't kill/squash any of the little bug invaders that creep into my house! I find myself looking for a plate or paper towel for them to climb on to and then I transport them outside.

This little guy found his way into my kitchen today....some type of worm, he is now happily living OUTSIDE my house in the bushes! :-)

Little miss Emma Claire got her very first outfit today, and it is a BAYLOR outfit to boot! :-)

I can't wait to put her in this sweet little onsie! Thanks Aunt Paige!!!

Tonight for dinner I made one of the Hubster's favorite meals, Taco's! Mine are a little more complex than just ground beef and seasoning!

I use onion, garlic, bell peppers, and the veggies above! It's a very colorful dish!

Yum!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Hi y'all! :-) HAPPY WEDNESDAY! I'm linking up to Jamie's blog, you can join the fun HERE!

This Wednesday I'm loving...

{One}
Sharing our baby's gender with family and friends!

This was so fun! I loved getting to hear everyone's excitement as we told them it was a girl! :-) She is one blessed baby already, so many people love her!!!

{Two}
That our sweet baby has a NAME! :-)

I'm going to do a name post about the journey it took us to find a name soon! The Hubster and I had a definite boy name but had a really hard time coming up with a girl name!

{Three}
The Fur-Babies

I'm surprised this stinker even made the lovin' list today! She had the nerve to EAT ALL OF MY CHICK-FIL-A! Brat! You would think that by now she would know not to touch the PREGNANT person's food! ha! :-) She looked SO guilty after I couldn't help but laugh!

{Four}
My sweet, wonderful Husband

Could he be ANY cuter?! This is how he went for his run on Memorial Day! He put the little flag in his camel pack! It was so cute!

This time next week the Hubster will be on a plane leaving to go to training for...*sigh* three months... :-( I know we'll be just fine, it's just hard knowing that he'll be gone for that long. We pretty much met, fell in love, and were never apart. I kid you not...this will be the first time we're gone from each other for more than five days!

 I also know I'm over emotional about this due to my current "state" :-) But it's still hard to say goodbye, pregnant or not. I already know that I'll see him at the end of June several times, and will be spending 4th of July with the Hubster and his family...it's still hard. I'll also see him after that a couple of times. I luckily have a great support system who will help me through packing and the BIG move!

Anyone with tips on how to stay busy and cope with your spouse being gone would be greatly appreciated!
