Tuesday Re-Cap

Today was quite a busy day.  I hadn't planned on doing a "day in the life" post but I documented most of our day so I figured I would do a little re-cap 

This morning we took my car to safe light to have a crack repaired. While the car was being serviced we headed to Jo-ann's fabric to pick up some fabric for a few projects. After leaving Jo-anns we passed by the repair shop and saw that the car wasn't ready so we went to an antique store I've been wanting to go to for a long time. Miss Emma Claire was snoozing in the back so the hubs sat in the car with her and I got to parooze at my own pace. That was so fun. 

I seriously could have spent HOURS in this antique store. It was two stories and HUGE. It was all really well organized and had such neat antiques, not just junk. Which is a rarity.

I ended up getting an antique window pane {bottom right}. I have been looking for one for a while and every time I found one I liked they were over $100 and I just wasn't willing to pay that much for an old WINDOW! ha! But I found this one today on sale and got it for $35. Which I have to admit is still a bit much for a window but I love it and already know where it's going to go! It's a pale blue and the perfect amount of chipped and sanded. I am in love with it. 

After we picked up the car the hubs took it for an oil change and Emma Claire and I browsed Goodwill. Didn't find anything. I haven't had much luck there lately. On the way home the hubs picked up chick-fil-a and I headed home because a certain little lady was having a car meltdown. Not fun. I tried to get her to nap when we got home but she wasn't having any of that. I wasn't too happy about that because today was baby gym day. So no nap could mean a looooong afternoon!

Today before baby gym I put EC's hair into pigtails and added bows. I just about died from the cuteness. I LOVED the double bow look.

I just adore all of the faces she makes.

  Emma Claire never did get a nap before baby gym. She did surprisingly well but I could tell she was sleepy. She just wasn't quite as peppy as usual. 

I figured that after baby gym she would finally sleep. However I was wrong. After letting her hang out in her room for a while I brought her downstairs with me. We broke out the ice cream and shared the rest of the pint together and watched friends. Perfect girls afternoon.

 Before bathtime we headed out for a walk. I am loving the summer weather in Virginia. During the Texas summer you can't leave your house past noon without melting. I've decided we need to enjoy the nice warm weather more often so today we headed out for an evening walk and park visit. 

Emma Claire had a BLAST swinging. We haven't been to the park in a while and she had a lot more fun swinging than she used to. 

My fur babies had fun too.

Even though we were having fun, the skies started to turn dark and I was afraid we would get stuck in the rain so we headed home. 

I would say we had a great day!

I still can't believe EC didn't nap at all {except for two 15 minute car naps}! She didn't seem to mind though! I'm thankful that despite her lack of sleep she was a happy girl today.
