So like many people did...we made our way to Chick-fil-a today for support Chick-fil-a day! I'm not choosing to take a stance on many of the controversial issues that have arisen from this situation on this blog. I am, however, going to share the pictures from our visit! It was quite the day for Chick-fil-a and we had fun joining in the crowd! It was also Emma Claire's first time to have her very own kid's meal at a restaurant!
EC and Daddy in line! The line was crazy long but we didn't have to wait too long!
So can I just say that the rest of my little family looked like models while I was dressed in paint clothes. Such is the life. ;-)
EC's smocked dress had chicks on the front and cows on the back. Perfect!
Side story: For the first time EVER I had a lady come up to me and say how cute EC's smocked dress was and that her daughter had the same one. I was speechless! That seriously NEVER happens up here! Most people have no idea what smocking is! ha!
There were two lines going and both were OUT of the building! And the drive through wrapped around the building TWICE!
We got a table that was right next to the enormous line and Emma Claire had the BEST time socializing. Girlfriend loves being the center of attention. It also helped that she was back in a corner so all of the nice people could look but not get close. ha! Exactly what she prefers!
Another Side Story: I got another "fun" comment about EC's bow today. A lady came up and said to EC, "You are just so beautiful...but that bow detracts from your beauty! You don't need that silly thing on your head!" HA. We had no clue how to respond so we just laughed. But seriously. It's a bow.
Seriously she was in heaven. {And Natalie...she sat like this for her entire meal. It cracked me up!}
She has also started giving a "super cheesy" smile all the time. That's what we call it at least. She smiles so big you can see all of her teeth. She also wrinkles her nose when she dose it. It's pretty much the cutest thing ever.
Today was a fun day for us. Getting to eat Chick-fil-a and socialize with our community made for a perfect lunch. Emma Claire actually ate a bunch of her grilled chicken nuggets and almost all of her fruit cup {sans apples}. I would say her first "meal" of her own at a restaurant was a success!

I think her bows are adorable! I am with you on the whole why do people care! They are bows they are not hurting her. My husband is in the AF and right now we live in NJ and I can totally see people having the same reaction here. If I have a little girl she will wear big bows too!
Oh my goodness, the pose!!!! Seriously. She rocks. :)
She is too cute! The bow comment = rude. Gees.
Love her smocked dress :) Glad you were able to support Chic Fil-A today!
That pose on the table is too much!
LOL I'm just giggling looking at these pictures! I love her little outfit!!!
where do you live again???! I can't believe people don't die over smocking and big bows! my daughter would not fit in there at all! hahaha :)
she's a cutie, thats for sure!
I love how she propped her foot up!! haha SO adorable!!!!!
I can't believe someone said that about her bow!! Idk what I would say either?
Love that she ate a kids meal!! I've tought about ordering one for RG but I refuse to believe she's actually old enough for that... :( maybe when her top teeth come in ha. Okay and now I'm craving chickfila. Gotta go get lunch ha!
I LOVE smocking too - my Ava wears it 3-4 days a week, haha!! I am a FB smock addict ;)
And I had to comment b/c I had to deal with the same bow comments. I just smiled, but wanted to ask if they had heard of the phrase, "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything". Masking your rude comment with "your baby is precious" doesn't make the rude part any better :)
Emma Claire is precious, by the way!!
