Today was a great garage sale day! Emma Claire got up at six and after breakfast I hopped in the shower while she played, then got ready real quick, and she and I were off. We let Daddy sleep in today :-)
At our first garage sale we did great! I paid $3.50 for everything!
$1 for baby Einstein DVD's! Score!
$1.00 for all of these books! I am most excited about the Curious George book! It's huge and has a ton of stories! I am also loving all of the board books! I had my eye out for some Dr. Seuss ones as well as the hungry caterpillar. Oh! And I got a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse book with music, seeing as it's EC's favorite TV show now...who am I kidding, they are obviously all my favorites!
I almost didn't leave with this puzzle! The woman was originally asking $4.50 and while I loved it, I didn't want to spend that much. So I told her I was going to pass, and then she said that I could have it for $1.50! Score! It is four different Eric Carle pictures and is so cute!
After going to several garage sales and walking away empty handed I headed to a community garage sale and found this cute little tikes xylophone. I also found some great baby gates for $15 each. However, I didn't have that much cash on me. I told the woman I might swing by later with my husband and some more cash.
Only $2!
Well it turns out that three hours later the baby gates were still available! They were meant to be ours!!! Since someone is about to be mobile we have been looking at buying some! We got all three for the price of one brand new! $45 for all three!
The last yard sale has a little bit of a story behind it.
I found it at about seven this morning when it was just EC and I driving around. There was a car in the driveway so I decided to pull in the front yard. It was a HUGE lot so I assumed it was okay. Well the second I pulled off the road the lady came running up to talk to me. Apparently the car in the driveway had a sign on it saying that the yard sale started at 9am. So I apologized and left with no intention of going back because she was somewhat rude and I don't think it's right to have an entire yard sale set up and then turn people away at 7am. Y'all her yard was PACKED. So later before we went to the grocery I had the hubs drive me over so I could take a peek. I did find a cute little tray, and I bought lemonade from some sweet little girls. Plus I got a free snickers just for getting lemonade ;-) Don't you just love little kids?
My $2 tray. It needs to be cleaned and possibly repainted on the inside but I just love it!
After garage sale-ing Emma Claire and I stopped by a new little farmers market. I was so excited to see fresh tomatoes and cucumbers! I have been craving fresh summer veggies!
I got onions, zucchini, cucumber, tomatoes, garlic, onions, peaches AND farm fresh eggs all for $14!
And just for fun, here's a picture of my little garage sale partner in crime.
She loves going to yard/garage sales as much as her momma. And of course she loves all of the attention she gets!
We
had a great Saturday! After going to garage sales and the farmers
market we headed to the grocery as a family. I have finally re-stocked
the fridge and pantry. I am SO glad I am feeling better! I am still a
little congested but feel almost back to 100%!

OMG!!! You find the BEST deals!!! GREAT deal on those baby gates!! We were going to buy some but then got ours for free bc our baby sitters boyfriends mom just stopped doing daycare so she gave them to us. EC will love those books, dvds and puzzles!! Those are GREAT finds!!! :)
Hi, I'm a new follower :) (I found your blog through a friend of mine)
You got some pretty good deals. I went out yard-saleing this morning too but didn't end up getting anything. This must have been a slow weekend because I didn't find anywhere near as many as I usually do.
you scored some great finds! EC looks so cute with that little smirk on her face.
ok, y'all have the best garage sales! I went to one today and it was just sad...
I love seeing your garage sale buys. I'm kind of a baby and don't ever want to go alone! Do you keep EC in the carseat or get her completely out each time or how do you do it? Just curious. Oh and I think it is funny that the lady went from $4.50 to $1.50 on the puzzle! That's quite a jump!
Good to hear you are feeling better! Sounds like you & little one had quite the day treasure hunting. I absolutely love garage sales. You got a great deal on those gates. That was a total score!!!
My dad grows a garden every year and nothing is better in the summer than fresh garden food. Ax had his first cucumber yesterday and it came from dad's garden. He LOVED it!!!
Hope you all have a great end to the weekend :)
