First Father's Day

I want to start off by saying...

Happy Father's Day Dad!

I love you and I hope you have a great day, I wish I was there with you!

and also...
Happy FIRST Father's Day to my hubby, aka Emma Claire's Daddy!

We love you so much and thank you for everything you do for our family!

You are such a hard worker, dedicated father, and wonderful husband.

You always make us laugh and are so good to your girls.

Even when you have hard weeks (read: working FORTY hours of OVERTIME in two weeks) you still try to spend some quality time with us.

You love to cuddle with your baby girl. If only she loved it just as much!

The girl who made you a daddy, and has you wrapped around her chubby little fingers. She looks up to you and loves you to the moon and back. You are her other favorite parent ;-) hehe When you are gone she constantly looks for you. Other than the dogs you are the funniest thing to her.

So to properly celebrate our fabulous guy here's what we did this morning..

While EC took her morning nap and the hubs showered I whipped up some yummy breakfast burritos! I used the farm fresh eggs I bought yesterday and they were SO good!

This morning Emma Claire and I let Daddy sleep until almost ten because he got in from work last night at FOUR in the morning! yuck! So we snuck out of the house and went to a garage sale and then headed to Target.

We picked up these donuts for the hubs. They are one of his "manly guilty pleasures" ;-) He was pretty excited about them!

We also had cards for our guy!

Emma Claire is a whiz on the computer and made this one for Daddy!

This one was from both of us.

I, I mean Emma Claire, made him a journal from Paper Coterie. It has his name on it and a picture of him dressed for work.

He has been talking about wanting a flag pole forever, and I had been planning on getting him one for Father's Day so I'm so glad he didn't go get one himself! He loved it!

We had a great (short) Father's Day! I am slightly jealous seeing all of the pictures of other babies/Daddies getting to spend the day together. And we just found out that we only have one weekend day this week. Oh well, it comes with the territory! I'm not trying to complain, this job is just hard sometimes on holidays and special occasions. Just keepin' it real. I am glad we got to spend the morning together!

SO cute!

I know how you feel, Jer had to work until 4 so we didn't get to spend the whole day together either, but like you said part of the territory! We made it count once he was home! :)
