What a Day...

So today was QUITE the day. A doozy, if you will. Our Saturday started out fine. EC slept until 8ish, woke up happy, we cuddled in bed, the norm.

Here  she is "gettin' pretty" she LOVES to put on my chapstick. Can you tell? Love that sweet little smile.

Later in the morning I TRIED to organize our front room cabinets and this is what was going on in the background. Dog in the stroller and baby playing with the ice scraper and some suction cups. Oh and duck tape. Why do I buy toys?

I just love her.

Now the day was going great, Daddy cooked us breakfast, we played, Emma Claire AND I got to take a THREE hour nap. I was pretty happy. And then miss Emma Claire slipped right off the couch and banged her head pretty hard. You can't really see it in the picture below but it's the best I could get. This is more for my memory's sake.

Then the day just got better. She was super clingy (understandably so) but I needed just two seconds to take dinner out of the oven. Cue a genius idea, open the fridge! She always loves looking in the fridge so I knew it would do the trick. Well it did. But she also found the eggs and managed to throw them on the floor. Wonderful.

After cleaning up the eggs we headed upstairs for bath time. Thankfully she was happy to play in the tub and I got to rest for a bit. Until....she had a large poopy episode. In the tub. And it went everywhere. OF COURSE. So I pulled her out of the tub, cleaned her off, and...well...you don't need to hear the details of the cleaning process. ;-) After putting her to bed I came downstairs to see this...

I've been working on cleaning out my home decor cabinets for two days. UGH. I need to finish up. This is driving me crazy.

And this....having a cling-on-baby all afternoon=a super messy kitchen. No fun.

But at least I made this? That counts for something, right? ha!

So now it's almost 11pm and I have finally cleaned up the bathroom, done dishes and cleaned the kitchen and living room, and eaten dinner. I think it's fair to say it's bedtime.

Oh girl, I feel your pain. We had a similar day on Thursday and it wore me out! Hope you get lots of rest tonight!

I have days like that and Henry is not even mobile! I can't imagine how hard it is to keep a toddler occupied and try to get anything done around the house! The nap sounds amazing though! :)

Oh goodness! I'm so sorry to hear about your day!
Glad she is okay after her fall though.
