Texas Sunshine

Right now miss Emma Claire is napping and I'm sitting down to rest for a bit. I plan on finishing up this blog post, eating a brownie and ice cream, and beginning the process of sorting through hundreds of pictures from our Texas trip. We leave to head back home to Virginia tomorrow and while I'm excited to get back to our house I am so sad to leave.

This past week has been so fun, we have been getting to see family and friends, hanging out, and enjoying some much needed family time. Mainly we have been loving the Texas weather. Every morning EC runs to the door to go outside. We have been hanging out in lawn chairs and just watching her play every afternoon. Our attire has been made up of shorts, tank tops, and sandals. It's been wonderful.

I also had a few photo shoots this week and have had the pleasure of photographing the cutest little kiddos. I have also been getting lots of photo practice in with my favorite little model. Thankfully there has been lots to see and do! My favorite time of day to photograph is sunset, especially in Texas. There's just something about that Texas sun ;-)

And yes, I found bluebonnets. In March. No one said I would be able to, but I did! ha! My parents have a sweet neighbor who's yard fills up with them each spring. We asked if he would let me do a little photo shoot there and he happily gave us permission. I took this picture on the day we arrived. That entire flowerbed is full of bluebonnets now! However, I haven't had too much success with miss EC and the bluebonnets. She's not a fan. We are going to try ONE more time tonight! Hopefully she will cooperate!

Beautiful pictures! So jealous of the warm weather you experienced - we just had another snow day today. While I enjoy my snow days...I'm ready for warmer weather!!

You won't miss it so much when it's 110 and TOO hot to go outside!
