I know I'm going to be saying this the rest of my life but I cannot believe how fast the time has gone! Emma Claire is two weeks old and already has changed so much since we brought her home.
Emma Claire: Two Weeks
Loves: Making silly faces, cuddling with Daddy while he does school work, eating (A LOT!), car rides, being held, dancing with Mommy and Daddy, bath time
Eating: Breastfeeding is going much better. My milk production is up which is wonderful. However someone thinks that she can eat CONSTANTLY. I was worried that this was a sign that my milk production was low but after pumping to see how much I produce versus how much she was eating I'm not concerned. I make way more than she eats and she HATES taking a bottle. So we're back to "normal"...whatever that is now! HA! We're working on a schedule but she needs to eat so frequently that it just isn't happening yet but I'm confident that it will. I'm not going to stress out over it!
Sleeping: Sleep has not been quite as good as her first week. She tends to only sleep two hour stretches which is to be expected because of her tiny tummy size. I just pray that we will start sleeping for longer stretches of time at night. Last night she fell asleep at 10pm and slept until 1:30am then was awake until 3am and slept until 5am and was awake until 7am and slept until 9. I officially got up with her around 6:30am and we cuddled and watched the news until she fell asleep. As I type we are working on a nap...it's been in the works for about an hour now ;-) So she has been up since 9am..that's almost four hours awake!
Fun Facts: Emma Claire went out to eat for the first time yesterday! We went out to lunch with friends and she slept the whole time! After we went to the farmers market where she continued to sleep. When we got home she woke up and Daddy fed her a bottle of breast milk and then she was awake and alert. She loves people and had a great time meeting Jack and Kelly. Kelly held her and she was so GOOD!
Mommy Moments: I am feeling MUCH better and breastfeeding is getting easier and easier each day.
Firsts: First time out to eat (at the Bungalow Alehouse), Emma Claire pooped on Mommy for the first time ;-) we skyped with Aunt Paige, Aunt Rachel and Grammy and G-Pop this week, Emma Claire had tummy time today for the first time!
Picture Perfect
I love waking up to this face each morning
Her hair is getting SO LONG! I can actually make it stick up hehe :-)
Someone did NOT want her picture taken!
This makes my heart melt
Sweet princess
Out to eat for the first time
Helping Daddy with homework for his Masters program
First time on our play mat and first tummy time! She liked it for all of about one minute ;-)
Ahhh...someone is finally asleep! However she woke up about 5 minutes after I took this ;-)
Just for fun, here's a comparison of this week and last week. I can't believe how much she's changed already!

She is so expressive! Sounds like things are off to a pretty good start. I'm glad you're not stressing. No need.
So cute, your hub holding her...sleeping and studying. What a good daddy.
Love seeing her pics as much as you enjoy sharing them! :) Keep 'em coming...not like I had to tell you that. Haha.
She is so alert! I think she looks a lot like your husband. Precious little girl..keep the pictures coming! :)
She is just beautiful!
Lol that little hair sticking up, so cute!
She does look a little different than from last weeks picture. Glad breastfeeding is getting easier!
so glad it's getting easier for you. she is just SO PRECIOUS.
Yay! So glad BF has been better - my milk took forever to come in too and we had to supplement until then. Once it happens though, it REALLY happens, ha! Milk galore! Emma Claire is so precious! I love the picture of her all snuggled up with her pink hat and giant pink bow!
She is precious precious precious!!! And yes...you will be saying how fast time goes for the rest of your life!!! I keep saying where in the world have the last two and a half years gone?!?!
Love how she has a smile in so many pictures! What a happy baby!
Oh my, yes, the breastfeeding is definitely a roller coaster at first! At 3 weeks, I feel like I finally have a grip on things and she isn't eating ALL the time like you mentioned Emma Claire was doing. Adeline was eating almost every hour there for a while...whew! So happy I stuck with it, though! Loving it!
