I have more blessings than I could possibly ever count. Lately I've been trying to really focus on the little ways that God blesses me each and every day.
My sassy little lady is the biggest blessing in so many ways. I remember being pregnant with her and wondering what she would be like, look like, act like, talk like. She is more than I could have ever dreamed.

Being a mother is more than I ever thought it would be. You read books, you listen to other mom's tell stories, but you don't really "get it" until you're officially a mom.
And then there's this guy. God really knew what he was doing when he put him in my life. He is such a great husband, father, provider, and an excellent example of living out Christ's love daily.
How can I follow up the two biggest blessings in my life? Oh...that's right, with Dr. Pepper ;-) I'm only half kidding here folks. EC and I love us some DP. Especially Chick-Fil-A's Dr. Pepper, it's just better than all other DP some how.
And here are some other ways we've been blessed latley:
- This weather we've been having has been wonderful. Cool fall weather just puts me in the best mood. I am so thankful that I can open my windows and cook in my oven. It really is the simple things.
- We have the best neighbors. I really feel so lucky to have them right next door. Although, school has started and we don't see them nearly as much as we did during the summer. But it's still such a comfort knowing they're there if we need them.
- We just started doing Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. I think that speaks for itself.
- MOPS starts this Friday and I am already praying for all of the ladies God has called to come to our group. I am so excited to see what great things he has planned for us this year.
- I am also part of our Sunday School leadership team and it has been so neat to connect with other people in the church due to this role I play. I love meeting new people and forming new relationships.
- This Fall we are doing a study on the song of Solomon in our small group. I can't wait to see the ways this will bless our group and help to strengthen all of our marriages.
How have you been blessed lately? And if there are any prayer requests out there feel free to share. I would love to post prayer requests y'all have at the end of these posts. I think that would be a neat way for us to all connect as a community.
I'll start by sharing my most recent and continuous prayer request. I just pray that this fall God gives me the strength to continue to be involved in all that I do. And as our schedule picks up, hat He gives me guidance and the discernment to spend my time wisely. I pray that I can give my family the attention they deserve while also serving in the many ways I do.
I am also praying for all of the families of those who were killed today in the shooting at the D.C. Navy Yard. Such a tragedy and really hits close to home for me. Literally. I am so thankful for all of the calls and texts and facebook messages I got asking about my hubby. He was at home when the incident occurred and said that by the time he got into work things had calmed down a bit.
So link up and share with us, how have you been blessed lately?

Love this and all the swee pics. I love how involved you are in your church and I love how much you love it! (A lot of love...) You are a beautiful Christian mama and you should be proud!
Cracking up about the DP blessing ;) THat's what I'm talkin about!! :) That Emma Claire sure is a sweet blessing-love that girl to pieces!!
You're right - I don't think you can ever prepare for being a mother. I felt like I'd been initiated into some secret club after giving birth to my little girl!
Love the big things AND the little things. Sometimes when the little things all line up it just makes a day great :)
EC's little outfit is adorable- love that color combo! The pic of you two is precious! I wondered about your hubby- so glad that he was at home and things had calmed down some by the time he went in. It's so scary out there- especially in their line of work. Praying for you as you manage your time and responsibilities- that is so hard to do sometimes!
I always enjoy reading your posts. You are always so inspiring. You little EC is just growing too fast. She's so beautiful!
