First Ear Infection

Well my title is pretty self explanatory but miss Emma Claire has her first ear infection. Poor baby girl hasn't been feeling well lately but I was just thinking it was teething. Then this morning she woke up screaming and just would not stop crying. She was also coughing so we decided to call the doctor. Twenty minutes later we were in the pediatricians office.

Bless her puffy little face. She cries just like her momma.

Waiting to see the doctor. Pardon my very sleepy "I got up several times last night and have not had a shower this morning" look I have going on. We had a rough night.

Greatest. Invention. Ever.

I may have stuck the bunny there and I'm choosing to believe that she decided to snuggle her lovie.

Sweet baby holding her ear. Breaks my heart.

The one and only good thing about a sick baby. Free cuddles. I soaked this in. This was about half an hour after a HUGE projectile vomit episode that ended up with both of us having to bathe. Thankfully it was only a one time thing. And she took a nice little nap on my chest after getting out of the bath.

And then the Tylenol kicked in. Praise Jesus.

And she ended her day in her happy place. Bless my dogs. They are so sweet to her and let her "love" all over them. AKA crawl, pull, push, chase, bite, lick...any of the above.

I'm so thankful that we ended the day on a more positive note than we started. I'm also thankful to live in a country where my doctor is two minutes away, I can swing through a drive through pharmacy and pick up her medicine, and once home I can tend to my sick babe in peace while watching sesame street.

Congrats on making it this long without an ear infection. They're so common in babies. Even with her sick face on, she's still a doll! Hope she feels better soon!

Oh my gosh! Ella had her first ear infection last week! It.was.HORRIBLE! She had one vomit episode too. Right after the doctors! So weird. I loved the free cuddles the most. We're still on the mend a week later. The antibiotics are just awful on her poor tummy. Good luck!

Give EC a probiotic. It really seemed to help with prescription. And soy milk too. It's been a life savor.

It's so hard when your baby is sick and they can't tell you what's going on and what hurts. It really does get easier. And when the cuddles are really, really far apart, you'll really grateful when you get the.

BTW, I love that picture of you with EC sleeping on your chest.

Not looking forward to an ear infection! EC looks sooo sad and pitiful in these pics! Glad you got some snuggles and ended the night happy though. Hope the worst is over and the meds do the job!

So sorry to hear about the ear infection. Poor baby. Is the medicine helping her? We've been dealing with a double ear infection for over a MONTH now, and nothing has helped. So miserable when there's nothing you can do to make your baby feel better!
