Friendsgiving

On Thanksgiving day Emma Claire woke up bright eyed and busy tailed, as always. I just love her in the mornings, such a joy.

While the parade was on I got out Emma Claire's fisher price nativity. She was pretty insistent that we open it RIGHT. THEN.

"Mom, seriously. Can we open it NOW?!"

She LOVED it!

After playing, eating some lunch, and an afternoon nap it was time to get our turkey on. I dressed Emma Claire in her DARLING turkey jumper and took some pictures before heading out the door.

I love her sweet little smile in this picture. She is just too much.

Self timer shot. It's a tad blurry but it's the only good one. I'll take it over no picture at all.

After our photo shoot we headed over to our friend's house. I was so grateful that they invited us into their home to celebrate Thanksgiving with them. Good company, great food, funny babies, and lots of laughs...sounds like a great day to me!

Emma Claire ate SO much turkey. It was delicious!

Sweet baby Allison looked so cute! Emma Claire loved her. She kept her giving hugs and kisses.

Emma Claire with the "little" girls. Miss Aislee had a beautiful red flower on and Emma Clarie kept trying to take it off her head. Such a stinker.  I should mention that this was a VERY hard picture to get! I can hardly get EC to stand still now a days let alone SIT still! But I had to get a picture of the three little ladies together.

This was probably the cutest thing that happened all evening. Mr. Asher {the wagon puller extraordinaire} was kind enough to pull Emma Claire all around the house in this wagon. It was SO DANG CUTE.

Needless to say Emma Claire LOVES Asher. She followed him around all evening, when he wasn't following HER around. They kept us laughing, that's for sure.

Just for fun, a little turkey day comparison.

I can't believe how much my little turkey has grown in just a year! She was such a tiny thing this time last year!

We had a great Thanksgiving and are so thankful that even when our guy has to work a 12 hour shift ON turkey day, and we are away from family we have great friends to spend the day with.

So glad you were able to celebrate! Love her jumper. All Avery wants to do is eat baby Jesus from our nativity scene. Poor thing!
