Bubble Baby

A few weeks ago we got a package in the mail that came with an unusual amount of bubble wrap. So really the only thing to do is wrap your toddler in a bubble suit. Ha!

Bubble hat!

She loved it. And it was hilarious to watch her walk around with her little bubble suit on. I love this age.

Glimpse into our Gerogia Trip

At the beginning of November we visited the husband's family down in South Georgia. It was Emma Claire's first time to visit and she had a blast. Here is just a little peek into our trip. I have several other posts plan to document our time there.

Having ice cream for breakfast? Why not!

Coloring with Granny

Only at my husbands house...there are mounts all over the house. Emma Claire loved them.

We got to sneak away for several date days. This day in particular we got CFA drinks and headed to hobby lobby and lunch. Perfect day if you ask me ;-)

We had a blast playing outside every day. The weather was gorgeous and warm the whole trip.

One morning EC woke up early but then fell asleep in bed with me. Hubs was out hunting (of course) ;-) She slept like this for a while. I soaked it up.

Cutie pie in her Georgia dress.

I am telling you she LOVED all of the animals that Granddaddy has around their house. She was convinced they were her "Friends" and she loved on them the entire week. It's one of the funnier things she's ever done.

Just a little daddy/daughter comparison.

I have always said that Emma Claire and her Daddy look just a like, but I think you can REALLY see it in this picture.

Two Year Portraits

About a month ago I decided I really wanted to get some good shots of Emma Claire to count as her "official" two year portraits. Not wanting to go far, I called up my friend Candice who has an amazing front yard. Thankfully she was home and let us crash her yard for a photo session. I only got a few good ones because I had several assistants, but I love what I got.

This first one was the winner. I just love how sweet her little smile is. Also, she has the cutest little bruise on her shin, it's so "this age" and I love it.

Oh Emma Claire.

Since I took over Candice's front yard I offered to photograph her kiddos while I was out there. Plus they're too cute NOT to photograph. I love these pictures.

These three had a blast playing together in the leaves.

And this little lady came out to play for a few minutes. Emma Claire LOVES her and thought the fact that she was in a basket was the best thing ever.

About EC: 2 years

I can't believe I stopped blogging right around Emma Claire's second birthday. She has grown so much and is SUCH a hoot lately. She makes our days brighter, harder, sweeter, funnier, and we don't know what we would do without her. She is FULL of personality and is just so funny.

At night she has to be surrounded by all of her "feeeends" aka her 5 baby dolls, bunny lovie, mr. bear, elmo, and dog.

She has lo mein noodles a while back and apparently that was the funniest thing EVER. She couldn't stop laughing at the noodles.

She loves to go visit her friends. This was right before having a jammie girls night with some of our closest friends.

Life with a two year old is never boring, that's for sure.

She loves to give "thumbs up" just like this.  It is one of my favorite things she does.
d

Life is also just a tad dramatic around here most days.

She is never lacking in facial expressions.

I left her with daddy for about 2 minutes, and this happened. It was eyeliner. Apparently she thought it would be better used as lipstick.

Those are just a few of my favorite memories as of lately. Here are some of the things I have written down about this age in my phone and don't want to forget.

* She calls food "foon". And it's just as hilarious in person as it sounds reading it here.
* Our friends Bekah and Chris are lovingly referred to as "baba and tis!" on a daily basis.
* She has a wild imagination. We constantly bring animals, babies, dinosaurs everywhere with us.
* She just started pretending that she "leaves" to go somewhere. Usually to the store to buy "Tandy" ;-) But most of the time it's to "Turch" and she always brings friends back with her. It's almost always "baba and tis".
* Back on 10.21.13 she sang Happy Birthday for the first time. Now she can sing almost the entire song by herself.
* Speaking of singing she can sing almost her entire alphabet, Jesus Loves Me, and twinkle twinkle.
* She can almost count to 20 on her own. She gets from 1-10 and then says "yebben. twelbe. fo-teen fo-teen.." and so on until she gets to twenty.
* The week she turned two she started calling me "Mommy" instead of "Momma". I might have cried just a bit.
* We were playing in her kitchen a few weeks ago and she randomly said, "My kitchen. Nice. Clean!"
* She always is asking for me to "Read book me" and "Hode you, momma. Hode you!"
* The last week of November she started asking "Wassat, momma? Wassat?" About pretty much everything.
* She calls cupcakes "Cupcapes"
* Just this week she will ask, "Hear somfing, Momma? Hear somfing?" if she hears a loud noise.

I just can't get over how her verbal language skills have exploded since turning two. I knew it was coming but WOW. It's so neat to be able to have a conversation with her. She also talks so well with other kiddos and adults. She can easily talk about her day, or family, or animals to church nursery workers. They think it's hilarious.

The "not a party" Party

This year we decided not to have a big birthday bash for Emma Claire. We did invite a few friends over to trick or treat then have dinner and cupcakes to celebrate our two year old. So of course I decorated the house for our "not a party". Ha!

Since it was also Halloween we had all of our fall decor up, and I let the hubs put out some of "his" decorations. Aka: anything scarier than mine.

From left to right: Miss Tylar the bumblebee, Emma Clarie the pink poodle, and Gracie as the cutest blue monster ever.

She had SO much fun with her friends.

We decided last minute that we would dress up too. As a frat guy/sorority girl. Sadly it wasn't too much of a stretch for us... ;-)

Friends!

Hubs turned the visor sideways...time to party ;-)

Emma Claire loves our friend Chris and Bekah so so much. Sometimes I'm pretty sure she'd rather go live with them. So naturally she was thrilled they came to celebrate her birthday.

These two were so cute together.

Mr. Jake was the only little guy at the party. They showed up after dark so I don't have any pictures of him trick or treating with the girls but he was the cutest little monkey!

After all of our friends left we had some family time, just reading books and talking with Emma Claire.

Love her little toes.

Sweetness.

Sometimes I just can't believe she's MINE.

And just like that she is TWO.
