Thought Stream

So I have a lot of "blog worthy" thoughts throughout the day. However, since I also have a lot going on in my little world most go unpublished. I thought today I could just streamline a lot of the random things/stories I have to tell in one post. Enjoy the randomness.

- While writing this I'm watching Friends with the hubby. Best. Show. Ever.

- Right now Emma Claire is napping, and has been since 2pm. HELLOOOO three hour nap. You are wonderful. Feel free to come anytime you like.

- Where is spring? It's currently 48 outside. This time last year it was WARM, I had planted a garden, and Emma Claire and I went to the park almost every day. And this year? Well it snowed yesterday. So there's that. This southern gal is ready for warmth.

- I'm still nursing EC. At 17 months. And no, I don't know when we will be stopping.

- I am throwing two baby showers this spring. Two GIRL baby showers. Cue excitement.

- Speaking of baby showers...Emma Claire and I are making the trip down to Charlotte in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS to go visit the amazing Allie and Raleigh Grace.

- Yesterday Emma Claire started saying "Apple" and signing book. I love this age. I feel like she is a little sponge and just absorbs everything. It's so fun to watch her do new things every day.

Easter Printables

Since Easter is right around the corner it's about time I share my fun little printables I created. I made a chick, an easter basket, and a bunny. They are in Emma Claire's room and I just love them!

I'm sharing them with y'all but since all of my images are copyrighted I will provide links below so you can download! Enjoy!

What a Day...

So today was QUITE the day. A doozy, if you will. Our Saturday started out fine. EC slept until 8ish, woke up happy, we cuddled in bed, the norm.

Here  she is "gettin' pretty" she LOVES to put on my chapstick. Can you tell? Love that sweet little smile.

Later in the morning I TRIED to organize our front room cabinets and this is what was going on in the background. Dog in the stroller and baby playing with the ice scraper and some suction cups. Oh and duck tape. Why do I buy toys?

I just love her.

Now the day was going great, Daddy cooked us breakfast, we played, Emma Claire AND I got to take a THREE hour nap. I was pretty happy. And then miss Emma Claire slipped right off the couch and banged her head pretty hard. You can't really see it in the picture below but it's the best I could get. This is more for my memory's sake.

Then the day just got better. She was super clingy (understandably so) but I needed just two seconds to take dinner out of the oven. Cue a genius idea, open the fridge! She always loves looking in the fridge so I knew it would do the trick. Well it did. But she also found the eggs and managed to throw them on the floor. Wonderful.

After cleaning up the eggs we headed upstairs for bath time. Thankfully she was happy to play in the tub and I got to rest for a bit. Until....she had a large poopy episode. In the tub. And it went everywhere. OF COURSE. So I pulled her out of the tub, cleaned her off, and...well...you don't need to hear the details of the cleaning process. ;-) After putting her to bed I came downstairs to see this...

I've been working on cleaning out my home decor cabinets for two days. UGH. I need to finish up. This is driving me crazy.

And this....having a cling-on-baby all afternoon=a super messy kitchen. No fun.

But at least I made this? That counts for something, right? ha!

So now it's almost 11pm and I have finally cleaned up the bathroom, done dishes and cleaned the kitchen and living room, and eaten dinner. I think it's fair to say it's bedtime.

Bluebonnets Take One

Something that was on my Texas trip bucket list was to find bluebonnets. Well I was told by everyone that it was simply too early and that I wouldn't find any. I was happy to prove them wrong and found some right across the street from my parents house! ha!

I was SO excited to do a little photo shoot with Emma Claire in the bluebonnets. I got her all dolled up in the applique shirt I made JUST for this occasion. And then the meltdown began. Girlfriend just wasn't having it. But I got some cute ones regardless.

Trying to convince her that the flowers won't bite...

Lawbreaker.

Not. A. Fan.

Made her way back into mommy's lap.

Thinking about it...

JUST KIDDING!

All done with these bluebonnet shenanigans.

Happy again. All it takes is a dog. Blogworld meet Sammy. My parents yellow lab. Possibly the goofiest dog I've ever met. But he's a lover. And EC was obsessed with him.

Again, these smiles? They're for Sammy. ;-) She is a dog person, that's for sure.

I did manage to get some good bluebonnet shots. I can't wait to share.

Texas Trip: iPhone Style

While in Texas I made a real effort to use my DSLR daily and take as many pictures with it as possible. But of course I also used my iPhone every day too. So I thought I would compile a single post with all of my phone pictures. Mainly because I'm still sorting through my "big camera" images ;-) Such a technical term, right? ha! So be prepared for a picture overload. And if you follow me on Instagram (malloriegayle) then you've probably seen a lot of these already. But they're pretty cute so you can look again.

Checking in. EC decided she needed to rest a bit. After all it was 6am. I don't blame her.

Checking out the plane.

Bunny in the barf bag? Hey whatever works, kiddo.

Little missy FINALLY conked out about 30 minutes before landing.

Someone made herself right at home the minute we made it to Grammy & G-Pops house. My mom had lots of goodies for her and she just LOVED  it!

We spent 99% of our trip outside. The weather was just gorgeous and Emma Claire was in heaven.

Mommy, Aunt Paige, and Grammy went for pedicures and sonic during nap time on Wednesday.

Of course we ate plenty of mexican food!

I broke out the spring clothes for this trip! EC and I even matched one day. Pink and yellow just makes me happy!

Emma Claire and her cousin Arbor had a fun time together at lunch.

The hubs and I managed to have a {semi} date night! By the time we left the house and got to the restaurant the kitchen was closed. We ended up eating Sonic in my parents drive way. Hey, we were out of the house, dressed up a bit, and I didn't have to feed a tiny person throughout the meal. It was a win in my book.

We had fun taking Emma Clarie to bass pro! We also went to Cabelas before we left. No iPhone pictures of that though.

Emma Claire LOVES bubbles and started saying "bubbles" on our trip. She would get SO excited about them and yell out "BUBBBBB-LES". Adorable.

Smiley girl. She loved the Texas sunshine.

....and she was also worn OUT by nap time most days. Can you tell? ha!

Front yard drivin.

Lots of chalk drawing.

Playing in the golf cart.

We went to church with Aunt Rachel and Uncle Matt on Sunday morning.

ha. The best picture we got after church.

 Playing IN her baby stroller.

On the move.

How most pictures go now a days. She won't sit still for a second.

I asked her to give the baby a kiss. She obliged.

Laying down in the driveway. Because she can.

My Aunt Dulcey brought Emma Claire a baby doll and she LOVES it. She has a few dolls at home but never really took to them like this one. She has played with it non stop since she got it.

Socializing at the airport on our way home.

Home sweet home. Such a pretty sunset in Virginia.
