Today was supposed to be just for cleaning, but I took a little break to work on a project for Emma Claire's nursery. I was inspired by a pin I found on Pinterest...which is exactly how all good projects start, right? ;-)

Baby Steps

We're making nursery progress!!! :-)

Tonight the Hubster and I painted Emma Claire's nursery! I wrote a post a while back about her nursery that you can read HERE. Anyways, we did end up going with the Benjamin Moore Harbor Fog. It's not your typical "girly" nursery wall color, but she will have MORE than enough pink elsewhere in her room! ;-)

Dixie and I were both intently focusing on the paint can. I was actually checking to make sure it was okay for me to paint with :-)

My handsome Hubby is going to be the best Dad! It was fun to do something for our little girl together since he was gone all summer and didn't get to do that much!

And here is the less than perfect "after" shot! ;-) After we took the tape down and cleaned the room up I didn't feel like doing anything but sitting down!

The crib is now in the room just waiting for the Hubster to put it together! We both decided that painting was enough for one night! Side note, the Hubs left for work this morning at 4am. So he gets the super dad award for getting up really early and then coming home and painting! :-)

Nursery Update!

I finally ordered Emma Claire's crib bedding!

I've loved it from the first time I saw it and am so glad we went with this bedding! It's the Petite Paisley bedding from Pottery Barn Kids. I just love the bright colors and I think I'll have a lot of fun with all of the different accent colors in the bumper!

In other nursery news the rocking chair for her nursery is ALMOST finished! One more coat of paint tomorrow and screwing in the seats is all that's left! I'm also working on a cute cute cute bow holder for already huge collection of bows! I'm so glad that all of these little projects are getting finished before the big move. Once up at our new house all that will be left is getting her room painted and buying a crib (which will be white!).

Speaking of painting her room...I need some help here...I'm torn on wall colors. I'm not sure if pink would be to much pink. A light blue could work, and I think green would be cute but I had a light green room once growing up and it literally GLOWED. So I'm hesitant to do green walls! ha! Here are some example from the Pottery Barn Kids website. You can customize the crib AND the wall color...GENIUS!
