About Me

I have always loved writing, and blogging has become a great way to record the day to day happenings in my life. I love that it allows me to keep family and friends updated on my life as well as connect with other bloggers! Thanks for stopping by!

My Husbad and I just welcomed our sweet baby girl, Emma Claire, on October 31st, 2011.

She is such a joy and we are so in love with her!

I am also a graduate of Baylor University! Sic'em Bears!

My husband and I met at Baylor in 2009 and were married on April 1st, 2011. You can read more about our wedding HERE.

We have two fur-babies, Gracie and Dixie. We adopted both of our babies from shelters and are blessed to have them in our life!

This spastic little one is Gracie...she is half chihuahua, half daschund, or a "chi-weenie" as we like to call her! We adopted her from a local shelter called "Fuzzy Friends". I was actually working a summer camp up in the Dallas area and I left the Hubster (then boyfriend) with the task of finding a puppy. He went to Fuzzy Friends and instantly fell in love with little Gracie...her whole litter had been adopted and she was the last one! We had to wait several weeks to take her home, but it was worth the wait! I don't know what I would do without this goofy little dog!

This adorable blondie is Dixie. I found her at the Waco Humane Society on a rainy summer day. I had gone in to surrender a tiny kitten that some kiddo's found on the Baylor Campus. The poor thing was covered in fleas, malnourished, and needed some TLC. I am highly allergic to cats so off to the shelter I went. While waiting on the kittens initial diagnosis I noticed Dixie hiding under a bench. A woman had her on a leash and I assumed that Dixie belonged to her. I began talking to the woman and found out that Dixie had just been brought in by an elderly couple who found her, but just couldn't keep her. I started talking to Dixie and she got right in my lap, well my heart just melted! The woman who had her on the leash was planning on taking her home to foster her, but she gladly let me take her home after seeing how Dixie interacted with me. As the saying goes, the rest is history! Dixie fit right in with our little family, she and Gracie love to play and cuddle together!
