Well I had planned on having a great big birthday blog post up and ready to go right after Emma Claire's party. Did that happen? HA! No, of course not. So I'm going to split up her birthday blog posts into a few segments. Today I'm going to share her party decor.
The welcome table. We used the Dr. Seuss book Happy Birthday to You! as our guest book. We also asked our guests to guess how many pictures I took of Emma Claire during her first year!
All of EC's monthly pictures and monthly books. We were missing month 11 because it wasn't delivered on time and I hadn't made month 12 yet.
Cute cupcake toppers! I printed them a little big but aren't they darling?! My friend Elizabeth just opened her etys shop: Sunshine Ink Digitals and is SO talented! If you need anything done for parties she is your gal! Go check her out!
The cake. Before I knocked it over. True story. I was taking pictures and backed right into the high chair! ha! Luckily my mom and MIL were able to fix it in time for the cake smash!
We had a pretty simple food spread. We just did hamburgers and hot dogs and a few sides.
My favorite decoration :-) I just love these ribbon topiaries and they were SUPER easy to make!
You know we had to have something Baylor out at the party! Sic'em!
How fun is this birthday chalkboard?! My friend Sonja let us borrow it for the party AND did all of the artwork for me!
Everything turned out great and while I didn't get to do everything I wanted that's okay! It's not the tiny details that make a party, but who you are celebrating with! I hope you enjoyed getting a little peek into Emma Claire's party! Up next: the celebrating.
