Welcome to Tasty Treat Thursday everyone! Today's recipe is what I made last night for dinner. I had a screaming baby at my feet and no time to cook. So I grabbed some fresh pork chops from the fridge, a can of tomato sauce , and a can of diced tomatoes.
Ingredients
- Pork Chops {boneless}
- Can of tomato sauce
- Can of Diced tomatoes
Also need spices to taste {salt, pepper, garlic salt, brown sugar}
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place pork chops in a glass 9x13 pan.
-Add salt and pepper to pork chops.
- Smother pork chops with tomato sauce
- Spread can of tomatoes around pork chops.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic salt, and brown sugar. I am usually pretty generous with my brown sugar. It's a necessary part to offset the acidity of the tomatoes.
This recipe literally took 5 minutes from opening the pork chops to sliding the pan into the oven. I am happy to report that it was DELICIOUS! I popped it in the oven as I went upstairs to bathe Emma Claire and when I came down from putting her to bed dinner was almost ready. I cooked some pasta and dinner was D-O-N-E. This will definitely be one of my go to recipes from now on!
